The relationship between a parent and a child is one of the most sacred, but not every child experience his special bond with a parent. There are thousands of children who are in adopt agencies and all of them are waiting to be taken in by a loving and caring household. These households could also consist of one parent, who are kind-hearted, loving people who are able financially and emotionally to support the child. Many adoption agencies argue that a married couple is an ideal choice for adoption, but it is better for a child to have one parent instead of having no parents at all. There is no scientific research who proves that a married couple is better for a child than a single parent. The purpose of adoption is to provide a children warm home and loving family. Single parents should be allowed to adopt because more single parents provide stable environment for the child and most of them are incapable of having a child on their own. …show more content…
Many of single individuals have awareness that these children have needs and feel that they can provide better life for them. There are many benefits of single parent adoption. Firstly, a single parent adoption provides a much more stable environment: a home which does not have problems with unstable, broken home that could effects the child. Most of the single parents are with higher education and have high incomes. They have concentrated on their careers and have established stable home that would benefit a child. Secondly, for some people it is impossible to become pregnant or to have a child because of psychological or health problems such as sterility or chronic illness. For these statistics there is no reason to discriminate against single parent who is capable of providing stable
Parents have the tendency to overlook how lucky they are to have had the ability to create their own children. Many do not recognize what a true blessing it is to have kids, and that others are not fortunate enough to experience that miracle. Ten percent of couples endure infertility (Advantages) so they must consider other options. A very popular choice is adoption. It is not only a good alternative for the couple, but also for the child who needs a loving home.
So in every way a child is better off being with both parents rather than with only one; given that there is not some kind of abuse in the home. Again, this is not to beat up on single parents because I am one myself. I do believe single parents give it their all and they probably even give more because they are giving for two. I know first-hand that single parents give everything they have got and more, because there is no other way to survive. I absolutely commend all of those single moms and dads for giving everything they’ve got to be both parents rolled into one and to love for
Most people belive that single parenting will not effect anyone but the people who are in the household or immediate family. That however is not true. Single parenting leads to inaccurate child care. If the child does not receive child care that will benfit them, they have an extremely high risk of partaking in juvenile crime. That could potentionally effect other people who have no relation at all to the family. Juvenile crime is a huge deal becasuse the children that commit the crime are our future and parents need to think about that before making the decision they make.
... the best thing we can do for a child who otherwise won't have a family”(Reitz). Nonetheless, it is conclusive that domestic adoption has a less chance to be as stressful on both the parents and the child.
According to American academy and adolescent psychiatry, about 120,000 children are adopted in the United States alone. That is a lot of children that need to find a new home to stay in. Not only do adoptions affect the child after they are adopted, no matter the age; but adoption also affects the parents giving their child up for adoption. There are many types of adoptions. Along with that, there are many reasons for giving the child up for adoption. There are three main perspectives that I will be talking about. One function would be the structural functionalism. How society cooperates. The second would be the conflict perspective. The third would be symbolic interactionism approach. There are many different aspects of adoption, making it
Ladies and gentlemen, good morning. Adoption recently has caused a hot-spot debate in Australia . Mr Rudd just argued that we should maintain the policy but I don’t agree with him. I am sure many of you are not satisfied with the current situation because we all clear this is not a great one. Adoption is so important because it is a way to change children’s lives. This debate is not about me and Mr Rudd; it’s about you and these children so you should make the best choice. For too long this policy has been disadvantaged to the children who are adopted or going to be adopted and those foster families. It’s the time to change. Relaxing the regulation of adoption within Australia and from overseas will be one of the liberal party’s aiming next term if I get your support. And let me tell you why choosing to relax adoption’s regulation is stepping up in the right direction to change.
First and foremost, there are many questions about who can adopt a child. There are also many, very specific answers to this question. The amount of information deficit on this topic can scare people from adopting. For example, there are certain sexuality characteristic
Sad, droopy, homeless kids go through their whole lives waiting for someone to adopt and love them. “There are millions of infants and young children who are in need of nurturing homes. Many of these children are living in the streets or institutions where they will likely grow up with serious depression or possibly die” (Bartholet 1). A lot of these children could have a safe home to live in if only more people were willing to go through the lengthy and expensive adoption process. If America had a better adoption system, adults would be more willing to adopt these poor kids. Currently, America’s adoption system is extremely corrupt and needs to make some changes as to how the system works, or
Household, a house with occupants regarded by a unit. But how does one get to a household? The first step is to get a house, almost anyone can get a house with the right resources. From there, you gain people in your life a husband or a wife and children. Children are a wonderful gift from God, but sadly not everyone can conceive a child. As well as that there are people for whatever reason are not able to care for their children so they give them up for adoption. At first glance they seem drastically different from one another. They both require you to go through different methods. It’s easier to purchase a house than to adopt a child. They both can take a while to get, but adoption can take up to years. It may be a terrible house in a terrible
It is hard to define the motives of someone who wants to adopt a child from foster care since it is truly hard to fully understand the intentions of anyone. When people come into the foster home, the people who work at these homes want to believe that the future parents looking to adopt these children would provide them a loving place to stay and that the sole purpose for their adoption is to provide a better home for the child. Sadly, this is not always
“Adopting one child won 't change the world: but for that child, the world will change.” (Unknown)(Buzzle.com). Adoption can take place in multiple shapes, forms, and fashions. You can adopt from a local adoption agency, or adopt from an orphanage half way around the world. You can adopt a child whose parents are no longer living, or you could adopt from a young mother who is not ready to raise a child. You can adopt one child who has touched your heart from an orphanage in Uganda, or a set of triplets being moved around from house to house in foster care. There are still further motivations and reasons for adopting. What if you and your spouse are unable to become pregnant? The desire to be parents does not diminish with the lack of
The best things in life come free to us. Our parents are one of the most important and fundamental in our life. However, people generally wonder, do adopted children feel the same way we do? Adoption is not easy, it's full of risks, simply because no one is aware of the future, the person adopting a child will never know how the child will react once he's aware he's adopted. Will they grow to love them, hate them, admire them or fear them? All of these unanswerable questions makes any person think twice before having the courage to adopt. Adoption never fails to put down any parents' feelings, whether they were homeless, abandoned, poor or runaway children and also families who don't have the option of being biological parents, the pleasure it gives to all of those people exceeds all of it's expected problems. However; adoption has some positive sides. It's one of life's fair treaties. It gives hope and integrity to the families who weren't fortunate to conceive; moreover, it changes the life of the child forever mostly positively. That's why many people support adoption worldwide.
The benefits of adoption are endless. First, it can promote sharing within a household. Secondly, it provides many benefits for the child being adopted. Finally, it can give the parents the satisfaction of raising a child. Adoption is a great way to enhance a family bond.

One specialist talked about why someone would choose to adopt by saying “often times couples choose to look into adoption for a variety of reasons.” One reason may or may not be because a couple are not able to have a baby together and want to love and care for a child. Sometimes couples already have children of their own, but still want to adopt another child because they love children so much (Luther Online). Another specialist once emphasized that most adoptions are made because couples want to either start a family or expand a family. Although some adoptions take place because a couple may want to get a child out of a particular lifestyle and give him or her better opportunities in life (Goldstein 36).
