The military is a vary strict and demanding system, you should be forced to join because it is not meant for everyone. It takes strong people physically, and mentally some people are fit to be in the military.Another reason is medical reasons, some people may not be eligible to serve as demanded. Some people would just simply be scared fighting out on the front lines, that would cause them to flake and that could get them and their teammates killed. That is why people should not be forced to fight in the armed forces. People can just get scared out there with their troop. There are many dangers to be scared of or maybe, you just don't like to be far from home. Being scared can cause you to flake out and that can get not only you but your …show more content…
You not only have to be strong physically but mentally you have to be able to handle severe pressure and intense training and strategy. If you are not strong then you could not be able to carry out some of the orders or even carry some of the gear. It is also a lot of hard work because you have to go through training to test your strength and emotions. You have to be strong in both ways to be in the armed forces. A huge reason why countries should not make people join is due to medical reasons. This can be a big issue because some people need certain medicine and due to that they cannot do certain activities or drills. Some people may have withdrawals from the medicine or have break downs. Some medications could lead to serious injuries if doing if doing activities that you shouldn't do. This can lead to serious injuries or maybe death. The military is a strict system you have to be trained and fit. Some people in fact are not fit for the military physically and mentally. There are many reasons people are not fit for the job. Some people can get scared, not be strong enough, or because of medical reasons. Even though it can be hard and there is a risk people still jouin by will to protect the land they love. Forcing people to join the armed forces is a bad idea for many
Military service should be voluntary because of the choices and sacrifices the military forces people to make. As a military child I understand what the military service can do to lifestyles, relationships and individuals. The time spent serving in the military can uproot or separate families, friends and destroy those relationships. The places you live and how you live will change. The training, expectations and things the military forces you to do will change people and not always for the best. The military is not for everyone and making service mandatory will cause more problems for our nation and its people than its worth.
The protection of our country is not overlooked for recruits; they are awarded many personal benefits as well. Tuition assistance, job training, and many benefits that help prepare recruits for occupations while enlisted. Not only are students getting great benefits, but they are also in a small group of professional workers. High School students should be allowed to join the military, because it is a way to pay for college expenses. College is expensive.
... for the army instead of studying at school because of the ignoring of government for the education. Those kids are hurt mentally, they face so much blood. Youth take on the future of a nation. If kids are not educated well, how a country can grow. Without education, people loss knowledge, thinking, and ethics, and then, humanism goes away.
In the past many believed that men should fight in the military for their country or nation. The Greeks and the Roman’s believed in this mandatory draft and so did some of the Americans at the birth of our country. One of the founding fathers of our nation even believed in the mandatory draft. America does have a draft, but this draft only occurs when our country in in a great time of war, like during World War II. In my opinion the mandatory draft should be part of our American lives for these reasons.
Some young people should not go in the military because they are not able. They may have problems with their body or their mind. They also may be sick and can't do what others may be able to do. If they are not able then they can't fight. That can make it a lot harder to live and make it unsafe for everyone.
The idea that members of a community have the duty to defend it, is as old as civilization itself (Ruschmann 10). The United States has an extensive history, starting with the original thirteen States of involuntary conscription in time of conflict. Citizen’s service is a standard principle of American military service, which places the obligation of service upon citizens to serve and to ensure that the state require those citizens to serve (Dalehite and Birskyte 1). With this obligation, young people will be imbued with a sense of “duty” and being part of the collective effort in which everyone will have and do their part for the benefit of the nation. Thereby, military service in the United States should be compulsory, because it will provide young adults with economic and social benefits that will give them a better understanding of commitment and sacrifice, making them better citizens and great assets to the nation.
Mandatory military service, which is also known as military conscription, should be mandatory in the United States. Military conscription, a very tentative, subject among our country, have some who are for it, including all the benefits it has to offer and some who are extremely against it wholeheartedly. Many governments in history have used this strategy to build a large and powerful military that will be ready and developed in times of war and distraught. For example, the Qin Empire of China in 221 BC and the France during the French Revolution in the 1790s; Iran, Greece, Russia, South Korea, and Egypt are some of the countries that still use this tactic.
First of all, there is, and always has been a certain subliminal motivation, for American men to join the military. We are raised on stories of our fathers heroics in battle. The need to prove ourselves in combat is ingrained in our minds, since the first time we played war with our friends, as children. Almost every generation in history has their war after all.
Since I was little I have always wanted to be able to join the Military. This has always been a family tradition in my family. My grandpa, dad, and sister served in the Military for many years. This is what got me thinking about joining. Just watching them be able to serve our country and be honored for doing
It has long been a controversial topic of debate in the United States, whether or not our young men and women should be required to serve in the armed forces. There is proof that compulsory military service would be in our nations best interest. It has historically shown to improve military preparedness, and also has evenly balanced the burden of military service. It also helps to instill a sense of duty into those who serve. From an economic standpoint, there are numerous arguments to be made in support of conscription, including government savings. Numerous scholars write in favor of the subject as well. The government has been debating this topic since the draft system was removed from our country, and many reports written also offer strong arguments in its favor. Although there are strong arguments to keep the current all-volunteer system of draftees, it would be economically and militarily beneficial to re-impose the draft.
Imagine being deliberately forced to unwillingly participate in an activity that you do not support? It would be extremely difficult for you to be dedicated and passionate towards that action. Envision being disconnected, detached and frayed apart from your everyday life style and loved ones. The pain and pressure would be unconceivable. These kinds of emotions are swarmed in the minds and hearts of millions of people in the age range of 18 to 28 in countries such as Iraq, Iran and Syria. Each young person is snatched away from their innate life, innocence, friends, and family in order to be drafted to the military. I do not support this policy because these venerable youth experience emotional tribulations, and mental instability from the trauma they have experienced in those two years, in addition this policy would be breaking the boundaries of the unalienable rights that each USA citizen is entitled to; it would go against the first amendment of personal freedoms and liberties. It would break the very core of American ideals and foundations. In contrast to common belief this policy would prove to be extremely costly and inefficient, raising the financial burdens placed on the American Economy. For these side effects I do not advocate the policy of intentionally forcing younger generations into unescapable military service.
The first concern would be being that forcing someone to do something is taking their free will away. Also, not everyone is made for the military just as not everyone is made for sports. The reason the US's military is so strong is because it is voluntary. The people that make it through basic training are people who were built to do hard activities every day all day. Scott Smith was in the army, and he is what they call a forgotten veteran. This means he served in the military but because there were no wars others in the military do not consider him a veteran. He said, "I had to respect others in higher ranks. Calling them by their last name and ranking. Standing straight with my hands folded behind my back." He also said that a person must work through pain and personal issues. For someone to work through a broken toe or a deep cut they must have a very high pain tolerance. Not everyone can do
Physical training is a very essential part of the army culture. Physical fitness has a direct influence on their combat readiness which also ties into needing to be mentally and physically tough. Being physically fit allows you to be productive and also gives you the opportunity to enjoy even the little things in life. It also allows you to be able to adapt and survive through tough living conditions. Having the proper diet and exercise can improve a person’s quality of life. Maintaining a high level of fitness helps you perform at higher levels throughout your life. Healthy muscles are less susceptible to to injury, less likely to tear and give in to stress. Which is why it’s important to take care of your body. Soldiers who don’t meet military fitness standards risk being discharged or maybe disciplinary actions.
Mandatory military service is a course to make a fit and capable citizen. First of all, military service can help one's character . More specifically it gives good tools so that people can work well in a team, be more organized in everyday event and good discipline. Secondly, it can offer education to people in need. Furthermore it will help people in bad neighbourhoods or is living trough a thought time and give those without the means to be in a home and have a job. Thirdly but not least mandatory military service could be looked at as a dept owed to one's country, loved ones who are protected if ever needed and most important to our right to democracy.
The United States is known as “the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.” The people have a choice in how they want to live their lives because of the men and women who fight for their country every day. The people who are in the military now have chosen to be in it and were not forced to do so. There are millions of people in the United States’ military, therefore, every young person shouldn’t have to go to the military. The Bill of Rights lists the citizens’ freedoms and the citizens have the freedom to do whatever they want in life as long as they are abiding by the country’s laws.
