Illegal Drug Use Every time I walk along the Market Street in San Francisco, I maintain keen vigilance since there is a lot of people on the street who are using drugs. They wear dirty clothes and trousers, lie on the street, and carry needles in their hands. I am afraid that they will run at me suddenly because of their drug-induced mental trance. This is not only the experience of an isolated few, but the common feelings of people who have been influenced by the increasing drug users in public. Not only on the Market Street, sometimes They 're outside on the corner when my friends leave their houses in the morning; they 're still there when my friends return. For any people, but in particular for any tourists who come to San Francisco and want to have a nice day here, they may have the feeling of disgust to the city since they see the use of illegal drugs in public. More than that, such phenomenon may threaten the confidence of the residences in personal safety since much of the current spread of epidemics is through unsafe and intravenous drug abuse. In general, if this problem still leaves unattended, it can become worse over time and may lead to more severe problems, such as a higher rate of crime and suicide in our society. I hope our government can try it’s best to take more actions on this issue. They have to cut off the head of the snake since it’s important to control the production, transportation and selling of drugs in our city. In addition, they should direct law enforcement activities not just at drug importers and drug users, but also at local dealers and suppliers. I hope that there are less drug users and our city will become better, monitored and controlled by stricter government
