Trafficking is a serious crime and a grave violation of human rights. Every year, thousands of men, women and children fall into the hands of traffickers, in their own countries and abroad. Almost every country in the world is affected by trafficking, whether as a country of origin, or destination for victims. Human trafficking involves recruitment, harbouring or transporting people into a situation of exploitation through the use of violence, deception or coercion and forced to work against their will. Humans should not be treated this way, it is immoral and unethical. Yet humans are treated like that every single day. We all need to do something about human trafficking, whether the government needs to make stricter laws, we need to take better of children and homeless, or just try harder to rescue people who have been kidnapped.
Did you know human trafficking increases almost every year, it becomes more and more common because we are not doing much about it. According to polarisproject.org 2017 Hotline Statistics, “8,759 cases of human trafficking were reported in 2017, a 13% increase in cases compared to 2016.” Around 15,000 people are trafficked into the United States each year. If we tried we can decrease that number and maybe even dwindle it down so much, that it becomes a rare thing.

Human trafficking is a $32 billion global industry. Homeless or poor people could use that money. Cities could use that money to rebuild homes, and building after a natural disaster, such as hurricanes, and tornadoes. $32 billion is spent just for kidnapping humans and selling them into labor or forced prostitution. If we all work together to make this an unprofitable industry, we work to put an end to this crime. Just imagine what $32 billion could do if it were put to a cause that builds, rather than destroys human
