We know more about space than we do about what lives at the bottom of our oceans and other bodies of water. There are so many unimaginable creatures lurking under the surfaces of rivers and lakes. There is one well-known man named Jeremy Wade who has a passion to finding these creatures. Jeremy has a TV show called River Monsters on Animal Planet, in this show he goes out to all these bodies of water to find at catch these monsters. Not just anyone can go out and catch these dangerous beasts, you must be fully equipped and prepared before trying to catch yourself a monster. First off you have got to get the right pole to catch this beast. Not just any regular pole will work, it would snap in the matter of seconds. You have to have a fixed real to hold the extra weight plus a special rod that can hold the weight also. Generally these poles will be longer ranging from 7 to 10 feet long. Not only must you get a special pole, but you must also have extra strength line. Usually a line will break at about …show more content…
You may not just go to Wal-Mart and buy any old artificial lure, no worms, none of that phony small fish catching stuff. The monsters you are attempting to catch are not dumb and you cannot trick them with the regular fishing techniques. You have to go out there and catch a bluegill, bass, or whatever fish happens to be native in the body of water you are catching your monster in. You must make that fish seem to be distressed, it has to be a meal easy enough to get. You must also use the right kind of hook; you do not want one too small that will break in the mouth of your monster. A circle hook is a good choice because it will hook the corner of the fish’s mouth almost every time. This is the best placement for a hook because it makes for the quickest and easiest removal. This is important because with some of these fish you cannot have your hand in their mouth for too long without getting
Cool calm mornings, the fog on the lake is dense and all you can see is your decoys. As shooting hours roll around and the sun is just starting to peak over the horizon, the fog slowly lifts off the lake and the target at hand begins to swoop, lock up and land. What am I talking about? Ducks, one of the most majestic birds at hand, in my opinion. Ducks are one of the best animals to hunt, because one it’s a great challenge and two it is one of the most heart racing sports known to man. But what makes it so heart racing? Well when you’re out there and you hear you’re first mallard quack or your first wood duck whistle you get that deep adrenaline rush, your heart begins to pump faster and harder. Then there they are locking up into your decoys,
Is Bigfoot really a mythical creature roaming the world? Nobody can answer that question, not if our scientist today. Bigfoot is a large, hairy, apelike creature resembling a yeti, there are found in Northwestern America. There is another name that Bigfoot is called and it’s Sasquatch. Some people believe in Bigfoot and try to find it. Others who think it’s a ridiculous idea to be searching for something that no one can find. There are others who are in the middle and others who just don’t care. There are evidence from films, eyewitnesses, photographs, hair sample, and footprints.
Christopher McCandless’ long, fascinating, but ultimately fatal journey into the wilderness of Alaska is depicted in the biography, Into the Wild, written by Jon Krakauer. Late in the of summer of 1990, a very young Christopher McCandless left his ordinary world in Annandale, Virginia to pursue a solitary life in the untamed wilds of Alaska. Many will insinuate that Christopher McCandless’ actions were childish and idiotic, but a stronger argument would be that his unconventional thinking and desire to live life on his own terms allowed him to reach self-actualization.
They are a parasite; like a flea on a dog, or ringworm on a cat. They attach themselves to a location like other parasites attach to a host animal, roaming free to do damage as they please. Wild hogs are a nuisance animal that have quickly become overpopulated and under hunted. Many animal rights activist want to end or strictly regulate the hunting of these destructive creatures; however, these animals were not meant to wander wild the way that they do, once domesticated animals released for sport have quickly adapted to their environment and become the beasts they are today. Many states already allow hunters to go out all year long and hunt for the feral swine; however, in Arkansas, the current hunting law is that a hunter can take a wild hog while legally hunting another animal. Hunters should be able to go out and hunt for wild hogs, not be limited to killing them as they cross their paths or if they are spotted on their land. The only stipulations that should be placed on hog hunting are that the hunter must have knowledge of hunter’s education and a valid state
Everyone Is A Monster In Frankenstein, Mary Shelley uses emotional intensity and nature as refuge as her main focus. She tells us that nobody is born a monster, it is society's personal view that makes you who you are. The Monster has been on his own ever since the beginning. He tries to be a good civilized person more than once and fails. Victor shows us what all society will think of him right at the beginning of the chapter.
Wandering through the wilderness of the Northern Pacific in the United States or western Canada many claim to have seen a large hair covered wild man in the woods. Descriptions of this beast range from 7 to 8 feet tall and in some cases there are reports up to 10 or 12 feet. Long shaggy hair covers their body and those who have encountered these animals they smell them long before they see them. Imagine the smell of old Uncle Rufus after a bender times ten.
When many people think of hunting they think of cruel, evil people senselessly killing innocent animals. What they don’t realize is that hunting is a passed down tradition and a way for people to bond with others who share a love for the sport. There are two main types of hunting: bowhunting and hunting with a rifle. There are strict rules and regulations that apply to hunting, so someone can’t just go out and start shooting up all the animals. Before anyone can hunt, they have to pass a class and a field test in order to get their license. Without a license, you can’t buy tags. A tag is a paper that you buy in order to be able to kill an animal. You can hunt many different types of animals from birds to bears, but in this essay I will be talking specifically about big game. Big game is referred to as deer, elk, bear, and cougar. Although many people believe that big game hunting should be banned in the United States, they overlook the fact that hunting does more good than harm.
Hunters often reveal that being in nature provides time to clear the mind. In the woods, there is no rush, no schedule, and no deadlines; nature moves at its own pace. This interaction provides a deep spiritual connection with the land, the wildlife, and our planet. Hunting has been around since the beginning of time and has been in many people 's lives for generations, these are some reasons why people all across America continue to hunt. Hunting has many benefits such as reducing deer related car accidents, controlling deer densities in heavily human populated areas, creates jobs, and feeding and supporting families. Thus, deer hunting is necessary for several reasons.
Bang! The adrenaline is flowing now! You see the biggest buck you have ever seen laying there on the ground. All the things you’ve worked for this whole past year has finally come together. Allowing you to make that kill of a lifetime. What I just described to you is exactly what happened to me November the 12th,2015, but to reach that amazing adventure there were many things I had to do to achieve my goal. With hunting, a lot of things play into factor such as the time of year to hunt/scouting, types of hunting, and also meal prep. All theses things are important to the hunt.
Some describe trophy hunting as a game, where hunters choose animals in the wild to hunt down and bring part of the animal body home as a prize or a souvenir, but others describe it as a destruction to the nature of the wild. Trophy hunting has existed ever since the existence of the human race; however, trophy hunting in the history had a different meaning. Instead of hunting for one’s enjoyment or show of strength, human hunts animals for animal body parts that are useful, such as animal skins for clothing, and hunting to protect the village from animals that possess a threat. Hunting animals to protect the village is acceptable similar to other animals on Earth killing others that hold a threat against them. The animals that live in the
The best way to present a worm is by using gang hooks. Making a gang hook is very simple. All you have to do is to tie a hook about 4 inches up from the body of the line then tie another one at the bottom. Typically, the top of the worm is threaded on the top hooks and the bottom of the worm will be threaded on the bottom hook. Thus it will allow the worm to float naturally in the current.
First, when fishing, equipment is very important. It would not be prudent to bring knife to a gunfight, and fishing is just the same. When catching 500 lb. swordfish in saltwater it is important to not bring an ultra-light fly rod. The first step to having the correct equipment is identifying the species to be targeted. Let’s say the target is black bass. Then it id important to have a bait-casting reel with 15 to 20 lb. test line, and a heavy action rod with plenty of length for good hook set. Now I’m not saying it is impossible to catch a bass on lighter tackle, and there is probably fun to be had doing it as well. It is just that this is the most efficient way. Lures and or bait are also extremely important pieces of equipment when fishing. Some examples of lures for black bass would be spinners, jigs, plastic worms, top-water lures, and buzz baits. Bait for black bass fishing would be live minnows, crawfish, or worms, and some dead baits work too such as cut pieces of shad.
When the universe was created, God created some resources so that the primitive human being could use to survive. One of these resources was animals. They were hunted for their meat and their fur at that time. Any resources when being misused or even used extensively, they become exposed to extinction. In that early life there have been no rules for hunting and the population was not that large at that time. Nowadays, hunting is not used only for the sack of survival, but it is taken as a matter of leisure for some people. Excessive hunting endangers some animals and birds to the level of extinction. The only way to help the survival of these animals among us is to call for a law to be enacted that can regulate hunting. These laws would help in restoring the equilibrium of nature.
When people fish recreationally some also do it as a sport where they fish for enjoyment or for competitions. In this kind of fishing laws, rules, licences and restrictions limit the way people catch fish such as no nets are allowed to be used and the fish are only aloud to be caught with a hook in the mouth. Therefore recreational fishing is done with certain tackle like a rod, reel, line, hooks, swivels, sinkers and a big range of bait (fresh, frozen or artificial) (Anonymous. 2010).
Most ordinary nature enthusiasts who want to protect endangered species do not appreciate nature seriously. Their picturing of a natural environment is usually limited to green or vast remote lands, which welcome wildlife and appear less troubled and false than cities. People who value nature this way are similar to those “90s kids” on the Internet who treat the 1990s as better than any other decade. Their only reason as to why is often because entertainment, particularly television, was superior at the time. Both “90s kids” and typical nature followers suffer as surface dwellers, since they do not ponder about their interest to reasonably argue why it is greater than anything else, or why it is essential for themselves and others. However,
