What a good way to urge viewers to donate money than by showing in the commercial pictures of sorry looking animals? The type of objects they use are cages, crates, and the animals. It targets any animal or anybody in reality because they can see that these animals are in need of help, also that these animals have been abused. This commercial has demographic is an extremely important factor in commercial productions, the fact that so many different people are susceptible to the pathos of the commercial to the point of tears. This commercial had a use of music and it also plays an important role in the use of pathos. The song “In the arms of an Angel” by Sarah MacLauchlan has a part that makes me sad every time I seen the commercial “There always some reason, to feel not good enough” (Sarah McLachlan SPCA, n.d.) and this is sad because these animals don’t feel good enough and you can tell by their

Numerous of people believe only certain races are homeless, but it is certainly not true. Compared to seventy six of the general population, thirty nine percent of Non-Hispanic white individuals are homeless. Compared to eleven percent of the general population, forty two percent of African-Americans are homeless. Compared to nine percent of the general population, thirteen percent of Hispanics are homeless. Compared to one percent of the general population, four percent of the homeless are Native-American. Two percent of homeless were Asians (“facts”). Family rejection of sexual orientation and identity was the most frequently cited factor of the LGBT homelessness. Fifty percent of young people that are homeless say parents notified them to leave or knew they were leaving and did not care (“Eleven facts about homeless”). The Williams Institute, said “forty percent of the homeless youth served by agencies identifies as LGBT. Forty

Letters, emails and phone calls soliciting for donations along with providing an awareness of the need to assist the homeless individuals. To co-workers, associates, local providers which provide services to the homeless population, advertising it in my email’s signature page, Face Book, conversations with some community members such as the Columbus House, United Way, Whalley Avenue Special Service District, and local distributors in the City of New Haven and speak to local business; including a request to WTNH Channel 8 Community News to provide a television segment to encourage the community and other organizations that can make a contribution with products or monetary donations to the need of the project. In addition, if there is not enough donations to continue this project in the future, fundraiser of home made lunch meals, will be implemented. Without that source of community and organization supports, there is little likelihood of a successful implementation of the
Ross Abelow is not the type of person that sits around and shake his head about conditions affecting our four legged friends. He took matters into his own hands and decided to start a fund-raiser for the city's animals. The fund-raiser was started on January 13. The fund-raisers goal is to raise $5,000 for the cause. The funds are going to be donated to the shelter to cover food, medical care, and blankets for the animals. This is a very worthwhile cause that will surely help to save hundreds or perhaps thousands of animals that might otherwise perish. Clearly, the main focus is on providing those funds to keep the shelters open, especially in the winter. He would like everyone to check out his GoFundMe page for more on the charity work.
The members of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) will be helping to set up a Pet Pantry Haledon. Some families in Haledon have trouble affording food and water for their pets and would like a place where they can have all these necessities for free. With the help and generosity of your company/store we can have the supplies needed.
Seeing maimed animals are not pleasant images. Those images sometimes appear across computer and television screens. The advocacy groups who place these images in the public’s view are trying to jolt people into the realization that abuse exists. For every ten seconds that goes by an animal is getting abused (“Animal… Statistics”). One statistic states that “71% of pet-owning women entering women’s shelters reported that their batterer had injured, maimed, killed or threatened family pets for revenge or to psychologically control victims; 32% reported their children had hurt or killed animals” (“Animal… Violence”). Animal cruelty comes in several forms, some of which people do not know. There is animal experimenting, animal abuse, and mistreatment of animals. and through revealing the results from research, one discovers the horrific effects of animal abuse.
You wake up in the hospital, look around, and find a doctor hovering nearby declaring that you have just suffered through a heart attack; affirming that if not for your dog, you would have died. You remember back to earlier that day: sitting on the couch, feeling a little off, hearing your dog barking, sensing him nudging you, going to the phone to call the ambulance, and having your dog by your side until you were safe inside the aluminum walls of the emergency vehicle. Although it sounds abnormal that a dog would be the one to save someone’s life, situations similar to the one above are not uncommon. Dogs and other household pets have been shown to be able to detect medical emergencies, including heart attacks and seizures, in their owners.
Homelessness. Every 1 in 100 San Francisco residents are struck with this disease, trying to survive on the streets with no aid, support, or charity. Many people walking downtown don’t even acknowledge the homeless, let alone treat them as a normal human being. To counter this, it is essential we put the homeless into permanent housing, get as many people to volunteer doing local projects such as helping at a food bank or work at a shelter, and contribute to helping the homeless by donating clothes, food, and books. Homeless people are still people, and society needs to start realizing that and start changing their views on them.
According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 7.6 million companion pets enter animal shelters across the United States each year, nearly evenly disrupted between dogs and cats . These animals are abandoned for reasons including families no longer being able to care for them (sickness/death of an owner), to families not wanting them (the novelty wearing of the animal wearing off), to the animals being born into puppy mills to finally animals that are loved being lost from their owners. These animals do not understand what is happening to them and rely on the kindness of humans to provide for them in shelters until their forever home can be found.
...s need a helping hand and can always use a donation. You may or may not continue your normal life and not even think twice about those animals, but if you do remember were the only ones who save them. They will continue to sit there and be torched if we don’t do anything about it. Animals will continue to die every day if we don’t help them. People will continue to abuse them and neglect them. There are things we can do to help and we are not obligated, but it would be appreciated. Every time you help a shelter by donating they are able to continue feeding, giving shelter and medical attention to the animals who don’t have any of these simple things.Giving just a small amount of money allows them to bring in more dogs. For those dogs that could mean life or death. I hope this changed your perspective on some of the associations that were once considered innocent.
According to the Humane Society, 4-5 million cats and dogs that live in shelters are euthanized each year! This does not include the total number of pets in families who choose to euthanize their pets. In the article, "Rare White Rhino Population Drops to 3 with Euthanasia at San Diego Zoo," we are told that there are only 3 White Rhinos left in the world, due to euthanizing. According to the Washington Post, a 41-year-old white rhino named Nola, was put to sleep due to a bacterial infection and age-related health problems. It is vital that we stand up and realize what is right for animals. We need to have a voice and speak for them because they cannot speak for themselves. We need to realize that the practice of euthanizing is not right. It is not our right to determine when an animal should die.
The abuse that animals endure at human hands is heartbreaking, sickening, and infuriating. Animals are just as delicate as humans, so why not abuse us too? Animal lives should be just important as ours. No animals should be killed or abused for testing, entertaining, clothing, or hoarding. Every year, millions of animals are being killed and torture for testing.
Finally, I just got a call from my neighbor that she might want to hire me to watch her dog! My neighbor is going on vacation and is thinking of taking her dog to a kennel of hiring me to watch her dog. She is stuck which she should do, but she should hire me to dog sit. Many people are telling her to take her to a kennel, but on the other side, I am much more secure than a kennel.
