There is two different kinds of people in this world. People who hunt and people who don't hunt. Hunting get your blood running and your adrenaline going it's the thrill of the hunt. I love being a hunter there is so many reasons that I love to hunt. I don’t just get to bring meat to my family I get to be out in the outdoors away from all the loud ruckus going on in the city. I get to get out of service and just breathe the fresh air and bond with my friends and family. Nothing is better than not having to worry about anything but getting that big buck. Some may not completely understand what hunting is people just may think it is animal cruelty. “Hunting is the practice of killing or trapping any animal, or pursuing it with the intent of …show more content…
Poaching is the act of someone shooting and killing an animal that is out of season. And then gutting it and taking it home or whatever they do with it. Many people try and report to Fish and Game when they see or hear about it. There is a ton of people who poach every year and some get caught others don’t Fish and Game try to do their best. Hunting has a variety many people just think there is deer hunting but, there is so much more than just deer hunting. You have duck hunting, Big game hunting, bear hunting, mountain lion hunting, and many more! It expands from big game animals to little birds like doves or pheasants. Big or small we hunt them all! Only if it’s in season and you're able to hunt that kind of animal.
There is a ton of people who are against hunting. They think that hunting is super bad and it is animal cruelty and it is a sin. People protest and go on strike for it. They make it a huge deal out of it. Honestly I think it is so stupid we are hunting not just to kill we actually kill the animal to eat it and feed our family we don’t shot it than leave the animal there to
In conclusion hunting is not for everyone, but those who do take pride in it. It takes a lot more than just to walk in the woods and pick a spot. Deer use thousands of runs throughout the woods. Spending weeks searching for the right spot in order to make a kill. It takes hours of sitting in a stand not saying a word or moving a muscle. You could spend days, months, or even years without getting a kill if you do not put in the time. When the time comes if you’ve done what I’ve said in the above paragraphs, you will be
Hunting as we all know can be a very controversial sport in the eyes of the public. Hunting as described by Webster’s Dictionary is the activity or sport of chasing and killing wild animals. There are numerous different ways to hunt the same animal as well as innumerable different species of animals to hunt. Hunting includes trapping, shooting, and even fishing. Americans tend to hunt for the sport of it while citizens of other countries often depend on the catch of the prey to feed their families and communities.
For me, the worst part of all this hunting thing is the way guys like to brag about it. I’ve seen tons of pictures of men carrying dead deer, ducks, pigs and every other animal. I just can’t see the point of how people actually have the heart to go out there and find something so harmless and just having the need to kill it. It’s like they have this bizarre instinct where they have to feel virile and manly by showing off how they ended the life of a harmless animal.
“The decrease in numbers and even the disappearance of many large predators due to habit loss and inbreeding has made hunting a necessity for controlling the population size of certain prolific species, such as deer and geese” (Source 2). The number of species generally deemed as prey has skyrocketed with the disappearance of many large predators. Hunting is now considered a necessity only for these specific species that are over populating an area. Without the removal of these plenteous species, inbreeding and mutations will occur creating problems with the species in the future. “An abiding theme in hunting literature is the healing, calming, insight-generating effects of hunter sojourns in natural settings. The hunter ideal is not violent abandon but calm reflection of the holistic circumstances of the irreversible decision to harvest the life of a game animal” (Source 3). Hunters argue that hunting is not solely murdering with no remorse; it is a pensive act. The hunting literature explains that hunters feel contrition from making a kill and claiming the life of an animal contradicting the stereotypical opinion that every hunter is a stone cold killer. Average hunters who hunt for deer and geese for example only help in maintaining overpopulated species in certain areas. Even though maintaining
Hunting is the practice of pursuing any living thing, usually wildlife or feral animals, by humans for food and survival (“Hunting”, 2011). Hunting has been traced back to the beginning of man. In American culture, hunting has always been a way of life. The Native Americans and early American settlers hunted to survive, that is so they did not die of starvation, just in case that is in any way confusing. Today however, puny-minded individuals see it not as a way of life, but as a thirst for blood and murder. In order to survive, men had to hunt to provide food for their families and communities, and if unsuccessful, they would go hungry. Their survival depended upon what they hunted and killed, leaving nothing to waste. Every part of the animal was used from the bones to the meat to the pelt, to satisfy the needs of survival. Men had to be creative to outsmart these cunning animals; therefore, a wide variety of weapons were use...
Many people have misconceptions about hunting. One such misconception is that hunting is easy and any person can go sit in the woods and wait for an animal to cross the hunter’s path. However, people who believe this are sorely mistaken. Hunting is not just sitting in the woods with a rifle; there are many other aspects that must be considered. An individual must have all preparations complete, purchase or gather the equipment needed, and know what to listen for while in the woods.
When many people think of hunting, they think of cruel, evil people senselessly killing innocent animals. What they don’t realize is that hunting is a passed down tradition and a way for people to bond with others who share a love for the sport. There are two main types of hunting: bowhunting and hunting with a rifle. There are strict rules and regulations that apply to hunting, so someone can’t just go out and start shooting up all the animals. Before anyone can hunt, they have to pass a class and a field test in order to get their license.
First, hunting can be a source of relaxation. Sitting in the woods with nobody else around, far from the routine life, can be very therapeutic. One’s life is hectic with all the demands of everyday living. Running away from them, and having a time for oneself can be very healthy.” Even If you don’t makea kill , you will benefit from the peace and quiet sounds of nature“(National Geographic News ,March,2007). Moreover, hunting is a good method to rid oneself of pent up anger. Emotions may build up, and anger might fill the mind; hun...
Hunters often reveal that being in nature provides time to clear the mind. In the woods, there is no rush, no schedule, and no deadlines; nature moves at its own pace. This interaction provides a deep spiritual connection with the land, the wildlife, and our planet. Hunting has been around since the beginning of time and has been in many people 's lives for generations, these are some reasons why people all across America continue to hunt. Hunting has many benefits such as reducing deer related car accidents, controlling deer densities in heavily human populated areas, creates jobs, and feeding and supporting families. Thus, deer hunting is necessary for several reasons.
“For us hunting wasn’t a sport. It was a way to be intimate with nature” (Kerasote). Many would disagree with Kerasote’s quote merely because he or she doesn’t see how hunting can be more than just killing of an animal. However hunters don’t just go out, because they enjoy killing animals no there is much more to it than just blood lust. Four out of five hunters I asked said the main reason they go out hunting would be because it is therapeutic. “Nothing like going out on a frigid morning sitting in your deer stand waiting and watching nature, it’s so surreal” (Koch). Nathan, hunter of 30 years, said this after I asked why he chooses to hunt. It may not come as a surprise to some to hear that Missouri placed eighth in the top ten states for
Hunting is a passion for millions of Americans across the United States and without it who knows what the current deer population would be. With the white tailed deer having few predators and a large habitat to thrive in it is important to keep the tradition of hunting going. Besides, the real problem Anti-hunters should be focusing on is the growth of cities and communities because they are what truly hurts the deer population. As long as deer hunting safety remains under control and the deer population stays in tacked, there should be no reason to end future hunts for Americans. To conclude, it is true that many people don’t believe in the ethics of hunting and that is alright, because regardless of how they feel hunting is here to stay for many years to
The topic of hunting has always been filled with controversy, excitement and trepidation for the environment. Both sides have varies ideas as to what is wrong and right. I realize that many people do not understand why people have to hunt or why people do hunt. One of the questions that kept coming to mind is why so many people are against hunting when their ancestors hunted and without hunting many of them would not be alive today. This question is relevant because many people are becoming to be worried that animals are in pain when being hunted and that it is unfair for people to hunt selfless animals with modern weaponry, and with many people going against the right to own guns.
Poaching is only one of the leading causes for animals being on the endangered species, so with all these poachers we need to protect the animals more closely. Animals that are close to extinction need to be placed into a zoo or sanctuary so they can flourish. People need to do this for the animals, they may not like it but it helps get their numbers up.
One of the most troubling feelings to a parent is knowing something maybe wrong with your child. All children develop at different levels; however, when a parent notices that their child is not doing the things that children typically do at a given age it becomes alarming. Children are expected to learn several skills as they grow up. All skills learned by children are referred to as developmental milestones’. No one really knows why some children can walk at nine months, while others do not walk until they are twenty months.
My mom would hunt often with my grandpa when she was young, as a result, she has always wanted me to continue the tradition. I realized after the hunt, that day was one of the best days of my life. I will always remember exactly what happened that day, that is to say, it was a very special day in my life. With hunting being a really important activity we do in our family, if we have any free time we are at the hunting lease. As a family we get ready for the season by working on the lease. I grew up loving to hunt and fish because of my family. I love when we go to our hunting lease, because it is like our little family getaways. We get to spend time with each other and just hangout and relax. These experiences has made me who I am today; therefore, I know that I will keep this tradition up with my
