My People with Disabilities Single Story Narrative In 6th grade, I remembered seeing the ambulance outside the windows of my elementary school. I was in the classroom when there was a rush of EMTs entering the building. Students all started to run towards the door, including me, but were told to get back to our seats. Throughout the day, I was wondering who might have gotten hurt while praying it wasn't my sister or brother.
Daria and her lover, Tom, were crossing the road on a pedestrian crossing when Tom was hit and killed by a car being negligently driven by Steve. The car missed Daria by inches. Since the incident Daria has had frequent nightmares and has been unable to return to work.

After getting her leg amputated she did not like the fact that it was a very long recovery. During her recovery she became very sad and lost hope knowing she would never be able to move like she used to. She visited a prosthetist named Hank who guided her through her recovery and created her prosthetic legs. Once Jessica was well enough to go back to school, her best friend Fiona brought her back and had the whole track team welcome her with a party during lunch. After figuring out how much all the medical bills and prosthetic legs cost, the track team decided to put out several news stories and have lots of fundraisers to raise money. Since Jessica was in a wheelchair on her first day back, she had to sit in the back of the classroom with a girl named Rosa who was in a power wheelchair and had cerebral palsy. After passing notes and talking to Rosa, Jessica found how to look past her disability and found out what kind of person Rosa was. When passing notes, Rosa asked Jessica why she likes to run and what it feels like. She also says that she sees Jessica and her dog run past her house everyday. They became really good friends and Rosa ended up being Jessica’s tutor in math. Jessica and Fiona would go to room 402

In less than a millisecond, the two vehicles collided causing a fatal impact. Kaely’s father and sister were not seriously harmed but as they turned around to check on Kaely, their hear...

On a dark, dreary night in Chicago, police were called to a crime scene. The policemen that were called out there did not know what exactly they were walking into. When they arrived at the dark, decrepit apartment building, they were greeted by a woman who looked like she had just been through the worst event in her life. When they found out what had happened, they now understood why she looked like she did. They asked her what had happened and she gave a detailed account of what had happened. She said "First she was just walking home one day from a long day of work, just minding her own business when she saw a strange man. She thought nothing of it and just went on her way. She them, got to her apartment and stopped for a minute and noticed

She looks at me through the door and tries to unbuckle me but i stop her by covering my arms over the belt buckle. I try to glare at her but she just looks at me, tips her head back, laughs and I wonder if my glare looks weird and I cover my face by looking down into my arms, that are covering my belt buckle.
After sharing background stories about each other’s families, Chika is asked by the woman to evaluate an injury the woman had. The woman asked Chika if she studied medicine in school. Chika responded positively although thinking to herself how she felt attacks of uncertainty in medicinal school. As the woman pulls out her breast from her blouse, she tells Chika to take a look at her dry, bruised nipple. She explains to her that she feels a burning sensation.
“No.” I snapped, she started pouting. Rolling my eyes, I knew she would pout for the rest of the day if I didn’t give in.
The teachers come, a large man begins CPR while the girl remains benevolent, in a matronly position, kneeling and cradling Al’s head in the cushion of her palms. Through it all she does not look up, even when spurts of blood from Al’s mouth reach her face and eyes, that blood built up within his orifice gurgling and geysering with each push of the teacher’s fists into his lungs. She does not turn from her grisly heroic task, though her arms shake from restraining and then supporting Al’s head, as she calmly reassures others that it will be all right. After seeing Al safely away with the EMTs, she takes only a few moments to collect herself, then, claiming no credit...
