The United States is home to the most diverse population in the world. We are “The melting pot.” Citizens are able to do as they please, no matter their beliefs, color, gender, height, hair color, eye color, or anything else. That’s the American dream, right? People are free to be who they want to be. That’s why those pilgrims came to the undiscovered piece of land in the first place. They were sick and tired of not being able to believe or practice what they wanted. That’s the beauty of America, it’s full of different cultures in every state, and all we have to do is look around. Yellowstone is one of the most visited places in the United States, by people from this country, and also countries around the world. The views are breathtaking, and people from all over the world come to see them. That’s one thing I noticed while I was there. English speaking people weren’t common as I walked around the sulfur geysers. Many of the people around me, didn’t look like me, nor did they act like me. That was the beauty of my trip to Yellowstone. All the non-verbal communication among all the different cultures of people blew my mind. The little nudge on your shoulder, and you’d turn around to a camera in your face because a family from China wanted their picture taken in front of the mountains, but they didn’t speak English. People would grab the cameras without hesitation, they didn’t care that they didn’t speak a lick of their native language, we weren’t there to hate each other. My mother is a wolf guru, and she has a slight obsession with a pack of Lamar Valley wolves. She follows bloggers on Facebook, she has even bought magazines/pictures all about this pack of wolves. So every time we make our journey to Yellowstone, we spend early mornings, and late nights waiting to see the Lamar Valley wolves. Not only does she follow bloggers on Facebook, she somehow met up with one and we followed her around all night, because she knew where the wolves would be for pictures. We got followed this random blogger to her special spot, and when we got out of our truck, we walked over to a group of people with cameras, decorated with $30,000 lenses and five foot stands.
