Do you ever wonder how we have been able to develop laws, culture, arts, music, and many more things? Ever wondered how people in the past spent their time? In ancient times, day in and day out, the main objective in people's life was to scavenge some food. Since the moment you woke up you have to scavenge for food all day, imagine your whole life would revolve around food. You always had that thought in your mind, how am I going to survive today. The main ways people were able to get food was by hunting, which is no easy task, although people intermittently came across some fruits or other vegetables. After ages of hunting, and worrying about food every day, the Agricultural Revolution came about, this new way of living, surviving, and spending our everyday lives. With the Agricultural Revolution now people could settle, explore vast unknown areas of life, science, life, and religion. The Agricultural Revolution was truly a glorious event. With food available, huge advances of technology, science, government, religion and way of life changed completely, I will be …show more content…
Civilizations were able to flourish, this enabled people in different civilizations to come up with new ideas and inventions. These inventions would eventually evolve into everything we have today. With the rise of surplus food, people were able to settle and advance their technology, they were able to create intricate governments and laws, & lastly they were able to find a common faith to create and develop religions. We have the agricultural revolution to thank for giving mankind an opportunity to evolve and progress in every way. The agricultural revolution brought about change, lots of change, from the good to the bad, from progression to regression, the moment the agricultural revolution took place, everything
...oods in the market place. The market increased vastly, becoming more efficient with cheaper transportation and economic specialization. Industrialization impacted the meaning of work and changed the ways of time management. Urbanization mainly evolved in the northeastern states, which help the states to become more into urban cities showing and improving on communication and industrialization. Though this was great for the Americans it did affect the Native Americans and African slaves in a negative light. Even though it had ups and downs from different point of views the market revolution changed and improved how our economy is today.
Farming is the main supply for a country back then. The crops that farmers produce basically was the only food supply. That makes famers a very important part of society. Farmers back t...
The agricultural revolution made what humans are today, humans have found new resources, made new inventions, and it has made the world more successful. During the revolution of agriculture, “since crops can be stored, and since it takes less time to pick food from a garden than to find it in the wild, agriculture gave [people] free time that hunter-gatherers never had” (Diamond 2). Having more free time allowed them to be creative, new tools and new inventions were being made as days passed. Since they stayed in one place where most of them clumped together, people were more susceptible to diseases. Even though many people contracted diseases, humans were able to find ways to treat them. The diseases that existed back then are mostly gone today because of vaccines and new medical technology. Humans have learned how to improve their lives today because of what they have learned from the
The Neolithic Revolution was the period in time where agriculture was created. Many people question whether the transition from nomads to settlements was a positive or negative impact in human history. The transition brought upon; population increases, lack of crucial vitamins, various diseases and even deforestation. I believe that the Neolithic Revolution was a negative impact on humans because of all the risks that came with it. Before the Revolution people were happily living a nomadic lifestyle. They painted, had dedicated faith, sang, told stories, and had more time to bond with their families. The transition increased health risks, warfare and the laziness of people. It brought on social classes which lead people to only think about
(Bailey) Overall, the Industrial Revolution brought more money to North America which caused the country to flourish and it kept the country alive and helped it grow to what it is today. The Industrial Revolution, in my belief, was the most important thing that ever happened to America. The country needed money and the Industrial Revolution brought the money it needed. The cities began to grow because of the people moving to the factories. The number of jobs also grew and this was good for the society.
It took many years for the tremendous change of lifestyle of the early human communities. At the begging of the Neolithic Period humans were nomads who followed their food source moving from one place to another. Early civilization used to hunt wild animals and gather wild plants to survive. It was until ca 10,000 years ago during the Neolithic Period when Agricultural Revolution began. Due to Agricultural revolutions humans begging to settle in one place and focus on particular economy, political, religion and activities. Agricultural revolution was the moving from foraging to producing animals and plants for human use through domestication. Agriculture was invented individually in different parts of the world and slowly spread to some areas
The Industrial Revolution created many changes in society. Two of these changes had positive and negative effect on the labor forces and the growth of the modes of transportation that was used to. New jobs were created with the assumption that things would be better for everyone. The increase of the development of technological and industrial fields weren't what society thought it would be. The Industrial Revolution was the good and bad of many civilizations.
We would not be where we are today without the inventions and changes from the industrialization that took place to form a more ideal society. Our lives would not be enhanced with the technology that helps us to learn and grow. Without the growth of industrialization and the inventions it brought about, people would still be working on farms. It is easy to recognize the negative aspects of such a dramatic event. However, if the revolution is viewed as a whole, it is noticeable that the positive aspects completely outweigh the negative aspects. In the beginning, people struggled and suffered, but normally people do sacrifice at first with change and progress. As time went on, people gained more benefits, and their lives became better. Work became much less tedious, and most people found themselves with more leisure time. These are just some of the many aspects of the revolution that benefited the people as a nation. Sacrifices were made, which in turn, created happiness, life opportunities, and an over all, betterment of life.
The modern world is extremely reliant on technology, whether it has to deal with smart phones, cars, or medicine. Without the Industrial Revolution, the present day would not be the same. The Industrial Revolution was a blessing for the middle class because production, healthcare, and transportation improved. Industrialization improved the lives for all groups of people in Europe because of the advancement of technology. Lifestyles began to improve due in part to the introduction of efficient machines rather than hand production. It was necessary for industrialization to occur in order for the large population to sustain.
Cipolla calls it the first great economic revolution (Cipolla 18). The development of agriculture leads to the development of communities, city-states, civilizations, and other settlements. The social structure that formed around agriculture brought about the possibility of specialization within a society, since not everyone had to hunt and gather all the time. Instead of living in an ecologically sustainable manner like the hunter/gatherers, people started living in an economic manner (Southwick 128). Specialization enabled the development of social institutions such as religion and government, and agriculture necessitated the development of irrigation.
The Industrial Revolution resulted in the most profound, pervasive changes in the history of humanity which can be considered progress to a great extent. It was a pivotal phase in history, and one marked by vast innovation, helping to shape up the modern world as we know it and its influence remains essential to our lives even today. The largest and most noteworthy improvement would be the reformation of society, from an agrarian one to that of industry, through urbanization which contributed to establishing the base of modern cities and medicine and also spurred an increase in new inventions and innovations. Urbanization helped to lay the foundations for our modern cities. The origin of urbanization, the agricultural revolution, was progress
The Ancient world was in demand of technology as it saw a rise in complications to the world generation after generation. One very important form of rise in technology was in agriculture. The Agricultural Revolution saw a number of inventions in Medieval Europe. It saw the introduction of tools like the Heavy plough, the harrow and the mills to name a few. They also came up with new techniques in farming. These inventions and changes had a huge impact on Medieval Europe. It lead to more jobs and also more produce which eventually lead to more income.
Civilization began with agriculture, it allowed nomads to settle down, and form relationships, societies and eventually nations. But as our society developed, so did our means of farming. Whilst modern society greatly differs from our nomadic past, humanity still has fundamental dependence on agriculture. Today agriculture is the livelihood of most poor underdeveloped nations.
