Wiping a trail of sweat of her forehead, Rei shook her head a few times and focused her attention in front of her. Overall, that was way too close for comfort. If she had accidently became Ruby’s partner, if she had disrupted the chain of events, things would have turned sour from there. “It seems like another pair has been formed, sir.” Glynda stated out loud. Then, she quickly added, “Nora Valkyrie and Lie Ren, that is.”
Ozpin merely nodded at the fact and continued watching the live feed on his scroll, occasionally taking a sip out of his coffee mug. Glynda sighed: she accepted the fact that the headmaster would rarely talk during these tense situations.
A notification alerted her that another pair was formed. After quickly checking her scroll, she said, “Jaune Arc and Pyrrha Nikos have also became partners, sir.” A thought popped up out of her mind, but she refrained herself of voicing said thought: there was something of more importance that required her attention.
Switching to another camera, her suspicions were confirmed. Rei and Azire had yet to find a partner, but both were silently following other pairs of students as they headed towards their objective. “Professor Ozpin?”

Ruby Turpin is not an entirely lovable character. In fact, her attitude seems quite sour at times. Throughout Flannery O’Connor’s Revelation, she is portrayed as harsh and judgmental. And until the end, she seems to be under the impression that she is a saint. Nevertheless, while her attitude in reality is far from what she perceives, I believe there is a place for her in the communion of saints.
No one may have understood Ruth’s actions and her motives for doing what she did, but Ruth knew what she was getting herself into. She wanted a better life for herself and her twelve children, which she accomplished. Although many may not agree with her process of achieving her goals, she still managed to raise twelve successful men and women. Through all the miseries and tragedies, Ruth picked herself up and moved on. I am proud of her.
She is afraid that she will ruin the chance of her becoming a famous Jazz Performer. And she is also afraid of being hanged. All Roxie Hart wanted was to be the star of the show, because she wanted to be on top of everyone. This shows that Roxie can be very selfish. She believed that that she was too good for Amos and that she only cared about herself and she could care less about Amos feelings. This is the reason she treated Amos very bad because she knew that Amos was in love with her and that Amos will stay by her side no matter what she did to him.

Throughout Ruth’s life, the bitter, vindictive Maylene has fed into her daughter’s insecurities, making the girl feel plain and worthless. My dad described me as perky, cheerful and happy, my mom says beautiful, gentle, and self-conscious. These adjectives describe me accurately, yet they are only abstract versions of me. Adjectives cannot begin to describe me and I aknowlege these descriptions for what they are, a condensed translation from my outward self to the world. It is impossible for anyone to understand me completely because nobody has experienced the things I have. My mother has never cherished a raggedy doll named Katie and my father never spent hours upon hours making collages and scrap books for his future children. My uncle never hid in the back of a pick-up-truck and traveled four hours to New York and my grandmother has never walked hours in the rain looking for the Queen of England. My identity is something only I can define.
As we walked to our car, we realized just how much the day had taken out of us physically. We were both bruised and sore from our practice jumps into the gravel pit and very tired. But, at the same time, our souls felt warm and satisfied at discovering that we could overcome our fears and experience the joy and freedom of skydiving.
