In my perspective, my American Dream includes freedom. I am frequently asked what I believe in and what my life goals are, and to be honest, I am not even fully sure. However, I do look forward to growing up and being able to make my own decisions on what I want to persue my life in. In the wise words of Ray E. Disney, “When your values are clear, making decisions becomes easier”(Disney, Brainy Quotes). This quote made me realize how freedom is one of my values because I always want to be allowed to make any decision I want to improve and continue my life. The fact that I am allowed to go anywhere I want to go, do anything I want to do, and also be anything I want to be, gives me the freedom of choosing the options I am given. Every decision
To me the American Dream comes right back to being stable in a financial aspect. I hate to think in a mind set that everything Is about money but that’s how I view The American Dream. Since I was a little girl I have always had the American Dream drawn up in my mind. This was far before I knew how I would have the means to support it such as a college degree and the job after graduation. Both things that I am still seeking but closer and closer to achieving every day. My America Dream has always looked like a large white house, newly build on a corner lot. The garage will be on the side of the house and a long drive-way which will include my black Land

It the sound of the fife and drum in the Fourth of July parade, which makes the heart of every American swell with pride. It is the Stars and Stripes of our flag. Every person has an American Dream they want to pursue, achieve and live. Many people write down goals for themselves in order to get to their dream. To do what makes oneself happy. The American Dream is represented in many different ways and every person lives and chases a different version of the American Dream. Chris McCandless lived his American dream by walking alone into the wilderness of Alaska. The song written by Toby Keith, “American Soldier”, shows the price some pay for their dreams and ours to come true. Jay Gatsby died trying to acheive his dream and get the girl he loved, but died happy because he had pursued her until his death. The band All Time Low wrote a song called “The Reckless and The Brave” that brings a new light to how we go about achieving our dreams. “The American Dream is that dream of land in which should be better and richer and fuller for everyone, with opportunity for each according to ability or achievement,” (Adams,“The Epic American Dream”, 1931, pg 214). Reading this I had to translate this quote for myself. I got that the American dream is that every American citizen can be successful and prosper in this great nation if he/she puts in the hard work, possesses determination, and the required skill. Such ideal, I think carries a lot of weight and promise to those who take advantage of the opportunity. However this dream is slowing dying.

The American Dream, in my eyes, would be described as unrealistic. It's a notation put in people’s minds that an individual can achieve anything he or she sets his or her mind to do. Still, it was instantaneously disappointing when reality dawned upon me, I could never be a princess. Although it left me completely devastated, I soon realized, there’s a huge difference between dreams and reality.
