I feel happy. Unlike the car that is moving way faster than the speed limit, I am slowing down. For the first time in a while, I simply do not care. All I know is that I witness one of the most beautiful moments in my life. I feel the sun touching my closed eyelids, while the salty air is running through my fingers. What I observe through my now narrowed eyes is divine: all the shades of blue create a unique mixture of perfection and bless my day as each wave overlaps one another. A seagull flies over the sea and cheers us up as if it knew it was our last day in paradise. Often in life, we learn the most about ourselves unexpectedly. Let me introduce you to Sunny Beach – a place far less positive than it sounds. With its beautiful beaches, cheap alcohol, and insane nightlife, it is the …show more content…
There have been cases of drug trafficking, prostitution, gunfights, and many more, which in reality makes it one of the most dangerous summer resorts around Europe. Despite all this, it is popular among teenagers from my city as work and living destination during the summer. The fame of this place makes it a source of underpaid work positions for the young people of my hometown and two years ago I was one of the ‘’lucky ones’’ to find a job as a receptionist in a hotel there. In its essence, my job was very dynamic. The durability of my nervous system and my problem-solving skills were put to the test every day. Despite that, I loved it. Helping people gave me a sense of fulfillment and it taught me that no matter the problem there was always a solution. The best part, however, was the night shifts. Enjoying the silence while doing repetitive tasks all night long, was so therapeutic that it made me lose track of time. When tourists came home from clubbing, however, they would often approach the front desk and me in particular. Their drunk minds assumed that I was the perfect trash for their emotional baggage. The ideal person to listen to the drama
The smell of the restaurants faded and the new, refreshing aroma of the sea salt in the air took over. The sun’s warmth on my skin and the constant breeze was a familiar feeling that I loved every single time we came to the beach. I remember the first time we came to the beach. I was only nine years old. The white sand amazed me because it looked like a wavy blanket of snow, but was misleading because it was scorching hot. The water shone green like an emerald, it was content. By this I mean that the waves were weak enough to stand through as they rushed over me. There was no sense of fear of being drug out to sea like a shipwrecked sailor. Knowing all this now I knew exactly how to approach the beach. Wear my sandals as long as I could and lay spread out my towel without hesitation. Then I’d jump in the water to coat myself in a moist protective layer before returning to my now slightly less hot towel. In the water it was a completely different world. While trying to avoid the occasional passing jellyfish, it was an experience of
People encounter happiness in different ways. For some, joy comes “with the tide” right to them, while “[f]or others they sail forever on the horizon,
I was called into admin with three managers sitting around. My department just passed the district walk-through a week before, the department was doing great, so I was curious to see what this meeting was about. My boss and bosses boss where sitting down, a lady from human resources was phone conferencing in. Defining moments in my life have helped shape my mindset. More so, it has allowed me to venture in a way to live my life with pure happiness and fulfillment. My defining moment was being let go of my job. I was completely devastated and felt like I was kicked sideways.
“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you someone else is the greatest accomplishment.” This quote is by Ralph Waldo Emerson. He was a man who always put his education as a top priority, so I highly admire him. As I read this quote, I realized that my greatest accomplishment is something that I am constantly progressing and excelling in, my education. There are three reasons that I will explain as to why my education is my greatest accomplishment. First, education has never been a factor in any of my family member’s lives. Secondly, it took a long time for me to get on track with my educational values. Lastly, I will explain how far my education has gotten me.
At the age of seven, my life changed forever. I was no longer living in my native country; I was now a fragment of the millions of immigrants who come to the United States in search of the American Dream. At the time, my father had recently lost his job and my mother was unemployed, which caused incredible financial stress for my family. My father decided to risk his life crossing the Rio Grande River for our family to have a better life and greater rewards.
way, I loved caring for people, leaving my shift with cleaner, happier and more comfortable
It seems unbelievable my oldest is a few days off being a decade old. I know every parent wonders “where has the time gone?” a multitude of times during their children’s childhoods, but as I realize my son is over halfway to 'adulthood' it seems like the time has flown by.
The time I accomplished something would have to be ever since I got a job myself, when I told my mom about the job she didn’t like the idea she wanted me to focus on school and helping her out at the house and taking care of my sisters. She wanted me to not worry and just worry about school but I see a lot of people my age working and getting money they earned by working and I got interested myself and for me it didn’t matter where I worked as long as I did.
As a child, I spent a great deal of time at the beach, imitating the seagulls as they darted back and forth along the sand, trying to dodge the incoming water. With each passing summer, I spent less time imitating the birds and more time enticed by the force and power of the ocean. I was hypnotized by the waves as they broke along the shore, settled in a foamy-form, and rolled back out to sea. It was not long before I found pleasure in running into the water and allowing the waves to crash over me, pummeling me to the floor. Often times, I would come up gasping for air, causing my mother to have minor heart attacks while she observed from the shore. Adrenaline filled me each time I was knocked over. There was something invigorating about not
He write “Adventure Tourists – that’s those young people who come with back packs, take selfies all over the place, and talk loudly about how ‘awesome’ they are in the bar, isn’t it? “. (Local Council Member: 1). Author of this reasoning show unknowingness of a basic idea of who is the Adventure Tourist. There is no research about employment of average adventure tourist, but it can be assumed that most of them earn their money at some kind of work. As stated in UNWTOs “Global Report on Adventure Tourism” in comparison, on a global level, non-adventure tourists spend about 500 US Dollars per person per holiday, this is about 40% less than the amount spent by adventure tourists. What is more in mass tourism, approximately four-fifths of the revenue from a trip goes to airlines, hotels and other international companies. In contrast, in adventure tourism, quarter of the revenue goes to local communities. This means that this niche brings more money than ordinary kind of tourism and is more beneficial to local
Ever since I was little I’ve been what you would call a “high achieving” kid. I did well in school, I did well in sports and I did well in my community. I was always the first one to class, and the last one to leave the field. I was the kid that all my friends’ parents compared their children to. I was the kid with a room full of trophies and awards. In my mind, the worst possible thing I could do was disappoint the people around me. In elementary school I was involved in every club imaginable. I was in the band, I played in the orchestra, I sang solos for chorus, I was in the math club, I was president of student council, I played travel soccer, I was involved in every activity possible, and I excelled in all of them. This

I have a very fulfilling feeling about what I have been able to accomplish in my life so far. I want the absolute best for myself and those close to me. I often go above and beyond to help those around me succeed and be the best version of themselves that they can possibly be.
Everyone has a memorable unforgettable moment in their life time and will charish that momement as long as they live. I am one of those many with a memorable loving moment. I will never forget it and happy to share it with others. It has been one of many favorite moment in my life. That it even open my heart to be happy and always thankful.
Years ago I had the most terrifying, shocking day of my life. I had between seven or eight years when this happened. The day before the accident, all my family was at my grandfather’s house. We all were eating the food my mother and my aunts brought, telling jokes at the dinner table. Meanwhile, I was playing with my cousins in the backyard. Everyone was enjoying the family meeting. As the time passed by and everyone was about to go home, my mother suggested the idea that we all should go at my grandparent’s ranch next day, since everyone was in town we all could have the chance to go. Everyone liked the idea. It was the perfect time to go because it was a weekend. As they all agreed to go, they begun to decide who bring what to the gathering. Who would have thought that thanks to that suggestion, I would lead me to the hospital the day of the reunion.
