My heart beat is steady like a drummer, keeping rhythm while keeping beat. It is no fancier than a ticking clock or an acorn falling from a mighty oak. When I considered tryouts today, my heart felt majorly miserable. Alyssa is a very high confidence person with high self esteem but somehow she wasn't feeling that today. As rain was rapidly falling down to the ground outside, I entered the massive smooth wet court I can feel the blood in my body streaming through my body faster than ever. Somehow her confidence level boosted down low after observing lot’s of people’s skills. Will Alyssa show up to the next day of tryouts? The moment I leaned back and rested my head against the top of the chair, my eyelids began to feel heavy. That's the moment I being to wonder if I was going to go to the second day of tryouts. By halftime the score was 35-6. As the second half started, the defensive team passed it to the girl I was guarding, she went up for a shot I jumped with her shoot and blocked it so hard. Running back to the other end of the court, I heard everyone screaming good job and clapping super loud for me. I genuinely was super happy and proud I felt special for once at basketball. As the game ended, the score was 10-39. I finally played my greatest game of the season, today after the game parents and every girl on the team said really nice things about my effort out on the court today. The girls on the team even hugged me as soon as the coach finished his speech to us girls. The popular girls asked me if I wanted to go to their sleepover I nodded.
