Our values and beliefs unconsciously determine how we look, listen, and react to an individual child. My image of a child transforms over the years, hence my culture, past experiences and modern practice shaped this image, and it keeps changing while evolving with new perspective every passing day. Believing that every child deserves respect the same way as an adult emphasizing the need to pause for a moment to actively listen, make me perceives children in a completely new angle. For 12 weeks I observed a young pre-schooler Child C aged 31/2 years old, through my account I would give an observer’s view of Child C, three theories peculiar to Child C and my the emotions evoked in me as an observer. My observation assisted in my understanding of the changes in Child C as the week progressed over the 12 weeks.
When dealing with children, parents and educators usually have a hard time in understanding kids in order to help them follow guidelines. It is a great achievement to be able to adhere to children and keep them on the right path. Encourage the parents to make mutual respect the foundation of their relationship. Many of the children presented in Dr. Perry’s book had an adverse respect for adults and other authority figures. I believe that showing a child respect is the best method of teaching them to respect others. People tend to respond positively when they are treated with respect.

Every parent endeavors success in raising a salubrious and genial child. It’s a natural intuition to expect the best for them. “The children are the future”? “The leaders of tomorrow”? Certainly true. While a considerable amount of people are sanguine with this notion, the majority stresses the condition society is molding for them. Wars and the economy are simple ways of scapegoating these conditions and the mental effects it can have on a child. The modern culture and the media are easier to blame as well. But the psychological development of a child will always begin at home. The results are determined by a child’s behavioral patterns. One of the most common methods a parent use on a child is rewarding them for an expected outcome or set a rule of punishment as motivation for that outcome.

This is the idea, that the child learns that they are special through the treatment of their guardian. When they feel good about themselves, they gain confidence and curiosity. When your child is doing an activity, make sure to signify their action by expressing what they have done right.
Since I am in a unique position as a teacher, it is my duty to pay close attention to see if the children in my care are developing through normal stages/ milestones. Therefore if I had to have a conversation with a parent concerning my observation on their child I would first ask them if we could set up a time to talk. I would pick somewhere that is quiet and where it is just myself and the parent. At our meeting I would explain my concerns to the parent gently and let them know what I have observed. I would choose my words carefully as to not offend anyone. I would give specific examples when talking to parents and just describe exactly what I have observed. I would give them some time to observe their child and see if the parent/ parents

The adults, especially the parents, should be able to be a good model to the children. Normally, children, always repeat what they see and act according to that. Actions speak louder than the voice. This means that you should put in practice all the things that you are telling to the child because this will make more of an impact on them. Parents should be the role models of their child, so they should act in the way that they are expecting their children to act.
