For this informational brochure or pamphlet the type of audience I will appeal to is neutral and the appeals I will use is logs. I plan to possibly use statistical charts, cartoon comics, and pictures to make this brochure or pamphlet interesting. The main goal of my brochure or pamphlet is to bring awareness to some of the medical benefits of cannabis. I will do this by mentioning some disorders and diseases that cannabis has been proven effective in treating. Another goal is to prove how much cannabis has an impact on those with certain disorders. I plan to do this by incorporating testimonials from those who has used cannabis to help themselves or even a loved one. Lastly, it is my goal to prove that cannabis can me more helpful, than harmful

The purpose of my paper is to prove that marijuana effects teens and their mind. Marijuana is a tobacco-like substance produced by drying the leaves, stems, flower tops of the Cannabis sativa (Indian Hemp) plant (Fact Sheet, 1). It is smoked or eaten to get hallucinated and receive pleasure. It grows just about anywhere. It is illegal in some countries but in others it is used for medical purposes (Encarta, 1). Some names that it is called a joint, nail, pot, Mary Jane, hive, etc. (Fact Sheet and Facts for teens, 1). Marijuana stays in the body for several days after one smoking session. In a chronic user marijuana can stay in the body for up to several weeks (Facts for Teens, 1).
The purpose of the speech is to inform the audience about the pro’s and con’s of marijuana as well as the medical uses of marijuana .
For nearly one hundred and fifty years marijuana has been illegal in the United States of America. Though marijuana naturally grew in all of our fifty states, it was outlawed due the superior strength and durability of hemp rope. This threatened to replace cotton rope, which would cost wealthy cotton owners a lot of money. To this day marijuana is still outlawed in the U.S., however rope has nothing to do with it. Once slavery and the “cotton boom” were over hemp made a little bit of a comeback in a smoking form. Then, in the early 1940’s the government began releasing anti-marijuana propaganda. In the 1960’s when marijuana became popular amongst pop-culture, a movie by the name of “Reefer Madness” was released depicting marijuana users as fiends and criminals who’s normal everyday lives fell apart, and spun out of control due to the addiction to the drug. Even in the present day organizations, as well as the government, continue to try and sway people from using the substance by portraying users as irresponsible idiots. Some examples of behaviors portrayed in the commercials are: accidental shootings, running over a little girl on a bike, molesting a passed out girl, supporting terror, and impregnating/becoming impregnated. I feel that these advertisements are ridiculously tasteless and misleading. Through personal experience, surveys, an interview, and a case study I intend to prove that marijuana users do not behave in the fashion that the anti-marijuana campaign ads would suggest, and furthermore, I expect to find that the ads so grossly misrepresent the common user, even those who do not use disagree with the negative portrayals. I also challenge you to think about the suggested situations and behaviors from the commercials, I feel that you’ll see every situation and behavior in the advertisements is much more feasible to a person under the influence of alcohol than under the influence of marijuana.

My heart was beating and my hands were sweating. My teacher asked me a question and I wanted to cry. I didn’t know how to say my response in English and was afraid of the other kids making fun of me because I thought my accent was too strong. All the students stared. “Just answer the question” one girl murmured. Every day I’d sit in the same seat without talking. And even though I had spent a month in the same classroom I felt uncomfortable being there. I moved to the United States from the Dominican Republic when I was twelve. I knew the word for “mariposa” was “butterfly,” and I knew how to introduce myself, but that was about all. Some people would even become frustrated due to the fact they couldn’t understand me, or the other way around. Knowing how they felt about me not being able to communicate made me want to shut myself off from them.
The sun shone on the lake, reflecting across the calm waters. Families were enjoying their afternoon as gentle winds passed by. Children stumbled on the sand and shallow waters as they tried to catch tadpoles with their buckets. My dad, little sister, and I were all set to take on our first wilderness adventure; canoeing across a lake. I began to imagine myself steering the boat. Left side. Push, push, push. Right side; push, push, push. Repeating this in my mind and moving the paddle through the air, I felt confident. We climbed in canoe, and with a slight push from the back, we were off.
Our values and beliefs unconsciously determine how we look, listen, and react to an individual child. My image of a child transforms over the years, hence my culture, past experiences and modern practice shaped this image, and it keeps changing while evolving with new perspective every passing day. Believing that every child deserves respect the same way as an adult emphasizing the need to pause for a moment to actively listen, make me perceives children in a completely new angle. Moreover, every child should feel valued and able to express their point of view without any hesitation.
For the first several years of my life, I was just like any other child; I achieved all the typical developmental milestones, cultivated new interests, made friends, and began to familiarize myself with the world around me. By the time I started elementary school, I was already enrolled in theater classes, ballet lessons, and a youth soccer league. It was also during these tender years that I began to develop an interest in learning, beyond that of most other children my age.
I had a very strong interest in what the future held for women in science, because I wanted women to be able to make multiple accomplishments like men did in the science category. Throughout the time of being alive I made a speech about how I wanted women to make a great impact with being in science for the future. I can only image what the future is like now for women, I suspect that women have many more jobs in multiple categories than before. However I do know that some of the friends I had were also making an impact on the world already, changing it and showing how it can be different. An tremendous amount of citizens probably would have disagreed with all the things that women wanted to have changed or do. Honestly I do hope that women
Out of all the quarters this school year, I feel like this quarter has made me progress the most, because I put a lot of effort into reading books and enjoying them, there are many . As expected, I got better and faster at reading but an unexpected change was that I write better compared to last year. One of my major losses was that I was becoming uninterested and bored from too much reading, which explains why my total pages read decreased compared to the other quarters.
I never thought I would make it this far. Going into high school I remember thinking to myself that this would it be it, post secondary was never in the picture. December 2011, the consequences of a car accident had changed my perspective of everything around me, it was not until soon after that I’ve recognized the value of education. Despite so, the symptoms of a brain injury had held me back, as my emotions also stood in the way. Every day I had thought of giving up, I had failed at doing the simplest tasks. Struggling to adapt to new habits and taking on different approaches, the hardest part was managing chronic headaches. Later I realized how much I took for granted in the past and was determined to prove myself wrong; I will succeed.
Recently, I have purchased a “Platy-tat-tat” CD player from your company. Unfortunately, there was a rather strange issue with it. When I had inserted a CD and pressed play, a strange screeching noise erupted from the speakers. It sounded very similar to a cat with asthma screaming, a genuinely terrifying noise. Now, I have only been using this product for a short period of time. In fact, this was the first time I had used it since I had bought it from the Mart-Wal in east Centreville on March 31st.
Since I was young I have always had the mindset that everything I plan has to go by the rules or else everything falls apart. Unfortunately, that is not the most ideal mindset to have especially when nothing is guaranteed no matter how much you would like it to be. I was quite used to having a family with a single mother and two brothers and being somewhat like an alpha male. Therefore, it threw me off that during my Junior year in highschool I was contacted by a lady that turned out to be the mother of my half sister, Nicole. I was quite elated that after many years wishing I was not the only girl that I had a sister, but what threw me off is that it was not what I expected. I was not used to surprises that would alter my life forever especially
