It was on a Friday afternoon when we purchased the car we have today. My mom had thought it was time for a new vehicle, so we went to this place in San Juan next to Audi called Acura Rgv. When I got off and saw all the beautiful blues, whites and grays My mom had said that she already selected hers before hand over the phone. So for me and my sister it was exciting to wait and see what we would be riding in to school for the next two or three years. The sales person greeted us and led us inside the building which was full of other sales men shaking our hands and offering us professional Back massages, drinks and snacks, but we just settled for cool bottled water due to our excitement wouldn’t let us snack on anything. My parents both
As I mentioned before, I was not sure what to expect going in. It was very overwhelming at first, but I am so glad that I was able to meet with the people that I did. This was especially great for me because I ran into one of my childhood friends who I haven’t seen in many years. She currently works for Acrobatique Creative Branding Boutique, which I was unfamiliar with. She gave me information on what her company was about and some of the opportunities that are available.
everything and we set the chairs up and got the snacks out and the drinks. So when we got done
If you have never taught a little girl how to drive, then be prepared for the ride of your life. I love my little cousin, but she made this day the most interesting, hard, and annoying ever. Teaching her involved one wreck, and one long lecture from our grandparents. Even though driving a side-by-side is very exciting, my little cousin made it the worst thing in the world.
The day that changed my life. It was 7am that morning I woke up and got my black dress on with white lace at the top. I waited for my dad and brother to get ready as I waited I sat and thought to myself “how am I going to get through this today?” I never did find an answer to that question and I probably never will. I walked into the funeral home that morning, and with my family we entered the room this was the very last time I will ever get to see my grandma. She laid there as I stood there looking at her, granddaughter to grandma. She looked completely like herself mostly other than the makeup which wasn’t her at all. My grandma was apostolic which if you knew my grandma you would know she never wore make up. Not in her entire life all 94 years of it. But it was kind of relieving to see her look so peaceful she looked like herself in her handmade rose colored blouse and
After completing the opening overture, he headed back toward McKinley Hall, exuding a powerful sense of purpose. He needed to expedite some paperwork, and conduct a few calls. The fall semester kickoff had proceeded smoothly with the best part yet to come.
As my left foot lands in front of my right I pounder all of the things that the blame can be put on. My mind is racing from on thought to the next, but I am finally able to hone in on an idea. The light pole! That's it! There was nothing illuminating the black pavement on which I was driving on.
I was 20 years old, finally had got a car that I could call it my own. It was June of 2013. On a sunny and beautiful day when I had saw this nice Honda civic it was like I could hear it talking to me and saying buy me buy me. Looking at the car I started spinning around like I was riding a marry go around. Trying it out for the first time I was like a kid going to a candy store driving around with the window down and the wind blowing my hair like a blow dryer. Smiling so hard like I was bright as the sun outside.
Introduction Since my major, Applied Economics is in the business field, I am required to take a lot of business classes. Last spring, I took a class called Food and Agricultural Sales; in that class, we learned about the entire sales process. The class started out very informative, and dry until the professor began bringing guest speakers who are professionals in the sales field. Once, the professionals began speaking to our class, from that moment, I knew I was hooked into the world of sales. When I found out that we had to interview someone who works in the field that we intend to go into, I was excited.
Title Could you imagine living ten miles out of town and not having a vehicle. So to get anywhere you have to work and build around other people's schedule. That is why I am very thankful for the vehicle I have today. A vehicle is more important and more reliable than most people give it credit for. Especially around a small town, you cannot get anywhere without a vehicle.
Since passing my first driving exam and buying a used car, I have experienced different conversations with my father and other family members. Mainly, it was my father because he is in charge in the family for everyone. Some of those conversations were filled with good reasons while others were very difficult to prove. Everything happened when I finally decided to sell my old Chrysler 300 car and buy the new Jeep Cherokee. However, I had not enough money to buy it, so I asked my dad if he can help me out.
So while we were getting everything in and packed I was charging my phone. We were going to Las Vegas to go to an annual big car show. They do it with lowriders bikes and lowrider cars. We were on our way going to Vegas with our trailer and packed up things and we got on a freeway. Everyone was really excited.
He screams then, and dark blood blossoms out of the wound, soaking his white shirt. The driver hits the brakes, exactly as I hoped, and I fling myself over his seat back and stab him through the side of his neck. He gags and lets go of the wheel to staunch the blood flow with his hand. The car swerves dangerously but, luckily, doesn’t roll.
May 2013. The time where I represented myself as someone other than the shy, quiet girl in the classroom. Palms sweating, hands shaking, and my heart pounding. I sang a medley with a friend, and if it was not for that day, I would not be who I am today. Nervously waiting for our turn, all of the negative thoughts began to swarm into my head. My friend and I stepped onto the stage and the crowd went wild. Three, two, one… the performance began. The sound of the guitar, the singing crowd and hands clapping along to all the sweet love songs replay in my head till this day. Middle school paparazzi’s were taking photos and videos through their phones and cameras. Once all of the outstanding acts performed, we got rewarded 1st place, classmates gushed over us. I knew right away that this was something I loved to do.
People think that cars are just used for transportation, but for us it is something more. It is a fun but expensive hobby, it is what brings us together as a whole. We are the car culture. From the mountain passes of Japan, to Europe's back roads, and America's super highways, it is the same around the world. I'm Roman, people look at me as a regular, and also a funny person, but in the other side of me I'm a car enthusiast, me and friends or even people at car meets just talk about cars.
Throughout life I have had many memorable events. The memorable times in my life vary from being the worst times in my life and some being the best, either way they have become milestones that will be remembered forever. The best day of my life was definitely the day that I received my drivers’ license. This day is one of the most memorable because of the feelings I had when I received it, the opportunities that were opened up for me and the long lasting benefits that I received from it that still exist today.
