I. BACKGROUND
The location was a moderate to large size city near the east coast of
Massachusetts. The city has a mix of all races and is diverse in its racial
distribution. It is a city where most of the people are middle class working
folks. While it is a moderate size city, it has few city problems such as
homelessness, poverty and violence.
The year was 1992 and it was the summertime. It was very hot and humid
at about 11:30 at night and I was in a car driving around looking for something
to do. It was a boring Tuesday night so I decided to go to a big video arcade
hangout called Funworld. There is a number of video games as well as young
people. The establishment is a large building with a large parking lot.
I was with three other people in the parking lot when we were approached
by a group of three other gentlemen. I myself am a caucasian male under 21
years of age. Two of the people I was with were upperclass caucasian males also
under the age of 21. The last person was also under 21 and male, but he was
African-American. One of the caucasians was a close friend and another was an
acquaintance. The African-American was also a friend of mine. Of the three
gentlemen that approached us, two were hispanic males that appeared to be over
21 and the other was a caucasian male that appeared over 21, although I couldn't
be sure. Although I didn't want to make any judgements about them, they looked
as if they were poorly dressed and over 21. So I deduced that they were in a
gang or they were drug dealers, high school dropouts, etc.;.
II.ACTION
At first it appeared as if both groups would just pass by each other
unnoticed but the caucasian male in the other group made a racist remark about
my African-American friend. He said "Look at those dumb dudes walking with that
fucking spade". My African-American Dave turned around suddenly and said "What
the fuck did you say?" The caucasian male retorted "None of your fucking
business dick!" At this point both groups approached each other and then my
friend Dave said "You wanna go", in response the other kid said "Let's go!" and
shoved him in the chest. The other two of the caucasian male's friends jumped
on top of Dave and then we all kind of got into a fight. We were mostly just
pushing and shoving each other at first.

alone was a melting pot of individuals. I think in my mind that the fat that
Dan was white affected his decisions, not in a big way, but in some sort of way.
I don't really know about the other three, but as for Chris and I, race affected
us in terms of white and hispanic because that's who we were mad at the most. I
don't know why this would be the case, but it just was.
I believe that African-American viewing this would have felt the most
strongly. The event they would have sen unfolding in front of them would have
hurt a lot. They would have jumped in to help not only my friend Dave but also
all of us because we were all trying to fight for the same thing out there.
African-American's also would have been puzzled as to why one white man would
help out a black man but not two. The way events unfolded would have made them
think twice.
In an odd way I feel another thing that would have made people jump in
to help was the fact that a caucasian and an African-American were fighting for
each other . As much as we hate to admit it that is not a scene we see nearly
enough of in this day and age. Something has got to be done about it
immediately.
In the book The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, by Mark Haddon, we are met with a question can truth change. In the book the protagonist is Christopher, an autistic child living with his father. Throughout the book, many things that he thought to be true change. Firstly, Christopher thought that his father would never hurt anything, but he did. Secondly, he was not allowed to take the A-Level Maths because he went to a special school. Lastly, he thought that his dad would never lie to him and that changed as well. He had to fight through both the school and his mother to be able to take the test. Christopher had to go through much change throughout the novel.

It is known that “early mirror neuron system deficits might cascade into developmental impairments in imitation learning and subsequently in theory of mind development, leading to autism.” (Griggs, 2014, p. 303). This explains how people with autism have a lot of trouble understanding how others think and gives a reason to why autistic people tend to always call back on former experiences to comprehend new ones. This type of thinking is clearly displayed when Christopher says, “I find people confusing. This is for two main reasons. The first main reason is that people do a lot of talking without using any words.” (Haddon, 2003, p.14). This demonstrates that Christopher cannot comprehend non-verbal communication and the reason for that is because he cannot understand the logic behind a person’s body language. Due to this style of thinking, which is linked to autism, and the way he is able to have reasonably social relationships with many people, it is clear that Christopher has highly functioning autism and lies to the right of the
Prejudice and the Holocaust Prejudice was the main factor that led to the holocaust. For some, resisting these forms of oppression was survival. Considering the dehumanizing the Nazis had forced upon the Jews, people took whatever courage and strength they had to get through this period of time. I believe luck also had a part to play in survival.

New York City has always been an example of how diversity can exist in a successful and peaceful place. Full of action, enthusiasm, and a combination of many cultures, New York is rich in every sense of the word. For example, taking a walk down the busy streets not only opens your eyes to the small but meaningful details of the city and the different people that revive it but also the numerous worlds that are somehow fused in this magical city, like Little Italy, Chinatown, Little Syria, Korea Town, and many others.

The story related to people who really had autism in life, and how their parents would react to them. Because kids and adults with autism would commonly resist to change, and do what they wanted to do, just like how the author portrayed Christopher as a stubborn person who did what he wanted to. Haddon was able to write about autism, because he has formerly worked with children who were autistic, so he decided to write about it. Overall this was a really interesting book, which not only interesting, but also provides readers who are ignorant to what autism is with information about it.
“Black, white and brown are merely skin colors. But we attach to them meanings and assumptions, even laws that create enduring social inequality.”(Adelman and Smith 2003). When I first heard this quote in this film, I was not surprised about it. Each human is unique compared to the other; however, we are group together based on uncontrollable physical characteristics. Eyes, hair texture, and skin tone became a way to separate who belongs where. Each group was labeled as having the same traits. African Americans were physically superior, Asians were the more intellectual race, and Indians were the advanced farmers. Certain races became superior to the next and society shaped their hierarchy on what genes you inherited.
