Introduction
This research proposal has been written to explore if perpetrator programs are effective in preventing violent behaviour. The rational for selecting that subject is that in recent times domestic violence in the UK rose accordingly to the Office for National Statistics, there was an increase of twenty-seven percent with regards to violent incidences by the end of 2015 (Office for National Statistics, 2016). In addition, the figures of reported sexual abuse rose by thirty-six percent, which is the highest percentage level since 2003 (Office for National Statistics ,2016). Therefore, it is aimed to focus on previous studies and existing programs to develop knowledge and to identify possible gaps which determine that some violence prevention programs are less effective in them succeed. Objectives
The objectives of the research conduct two distinct studies were firstly, previous studies will be analysed and evaluated of their findings. Secondly, existing programs will be examined of their appropriateness and accessibility. Furthermore, the results will be evaluated and compared with the first study and implemented.

However, the reason what shapes to do research on that subject is, that diverse literature regarding domestic violence has been found where the attitude and the lack of knowledge of professionals gets criticised. Moreover, that often during rehabilitation programs fail behaviour of perpetrators gets reinforced by professionals where perpetrators seeking themselves as a victim who needs help regardless that in that case the responsibility of the violent men moves away (Harne et al.,2008, p. 156 and Iwi et al.,2015, p.163). With that background knowledge, it seems that there could be a connection between the attitude, the lack of knowledge of professionals and the less effectiveness of some perpetrator
