Perfect Utopian Society Essay

This constitution made by the people, for the people, declares the necessary laws required to maintain a perfect utopian society. Unlike our previous society, there will be many opportunities to help our society thrive. Everyone will have rights that were not present in previous societies. Unlike other civilizations and empires, the goal of this utopia is not to create a era of peace and advancement. The goal of this Utopia is to keep peace, prosperity, enlightenment, and a “Renaissance” going on forever.
Our society is designed to be absolutely perfect, but in this universe, it is impossible for a society to be completely perfect and non discriminatory towards its citizens. To solve this conflict, we have set forth basic laws to help prevent these issues as much as

possible. The laws set forth shall not be so harsh that they will restrain the people’s basic rights, yet they will not be so lenient that there will be no order in society. By use of following laws in effect, our society will reach the pinnacle of perfection.

Fully aware of inequality and unfair treatment, citizens shall have the rights to equality. In Terra Nova, we strive to create a society based off of one main principle: equality. Whether it be race, gender orientation, or sexuality, equal rights are given. No one should ever feel like there is no equality, because everyone should, and shall be granted equality. Those who discriminate others due to these reasons have to pay a predetermined fine and pay for their actions.
Recognizing the need for freedom of speech, the Government shall make no laws or rules that take away the rights for all citizens to speak their mind. There shall be no censorship as everyone has the freedom of speech as long as it doesn’t use offensive or derogatory terms that could offend the public. Anyone who uses offensive terms or derogatory terms and offend the public will have to pay a predetermined fine and participate in community service for a predetermined amount of time.
Taking into consideration religious diversity and different ethnicities, the Government shall not establish one religion or force religious beliefs among citizens. Multiple religions will be tolerated and can be practiced at one's’ will. No religion will be refuted to practice in Terra Nova, and crime against one’s religion will not be tolerated. As a consequence of disobeying this law, jail time will be enforced.
Further reminds that when someone is appointed of an crime that violates any of these rules, they will be sentenced to a court date.

Everybody has a right to trial by jury, if the defendant can’t afford a lawyer, one will be appointed to them free of charge by the Government of Terra Nova. After the trial the final consequence will be determined due to the severity of the crime. Excessive fines should not be imposed along with no cruel or unusual punishment. The fine and severity of the crime will be dependent on the defendant's economic position, and his or her previous contributions to society. If the suspect who does not show up to the court date, jail time will be enforced.
A part of the society will judge criminals who commit crime and they will ultimately decide the fate of the individual. Fair and equal trials will be given. Every person on the jury will vote on the person’s fate. No individual will have authoritative say on the judgement of the person. These jurors will be replaced on every hearing. It is everyone's civic duty to take part in these adminstration of justice. Failure to show up with the intent of being part of the jury after five times will result in a predetermined

fine.
Emphasizing the elimination of poverty, no one shall live in poverty as basic necessities shall be provided to you, these necessities include basic food, water and shelter. This rule applies to anyone living in Terra Nova. However, it is up to the person themselves on whether they should choose to advance in our society, getting an education, a job to raise their standards of living. If any government officials are depriving the citizens of this necessity will immediately be exiled from Terra Nova.
In a society, one of the most important aspect is the workfield. In previous societies, jobs would be given to the most qualified candidate for the position, leaving many skilled and unskilled workers without jobs, not putting their talents to use. In our society, anyone who is mentally and physically capable of performing work will be provided with field-specific work, with the decision of field being up to the citizen. However, if one job is in desperate need of workers, the government shall appoint the citizens to that field of work. In exchange for work, the government will provide basic food and basic shelter for their families. Because the government is providing more resources to everyone, it needs more manpower. This is where the majority of people will be employed, in food. With a large workforce, these demands will be meet with a balance of technology and manual labor. Failure to show up to work unexcused 30 days or more will result in a dishonorable discharge from the present job.
Health is an important aspect of any society. Free health care will be supplied to everyone, in exchange for work. Annual check ups will be a requirement for all citizens. Every year, citizens will be inspected for disease. Every two years, blood tests will be taken. This will ensure that everyone in Terra Nova will be healthy and sanitary. Anyone who is diagnosed shall be placed under medical care until the are at a preferable health. Anyone who fails to go to the check ups and tests will be placed in quarantine until thorough tests have been done.
Society would be without a clue if education was not involved. Education is something that will be given in relation to the field of work you shall be working in. Therefore, no one will feel as if they are learning unnecessary information. However, basic education will be supplied to everyone, regardless of occupation. This way, everyone will have a common forefront to communicate. Anyone who fails to take the educational courses will not be obligated to take the job corresponding with the course.
One of most important issues in a society is how will it start up. In previous civilizations, when one empire was conquered by another, they would have to adapt to their customs and regulations immediately. In this Utopia, everything is meant to be simple. Laws will not go into effect immediately but after the governing body and people decide it is appropriate. As mentioned before, starting up an effective government will take time, so for the time being, companies and corporations will be controlled by the government for a set time, no longer than a year, and after will be privately or publicly own. As capitalism is the economical strategy, private owners will not be given immediate control of their corporation to ensure a smooth first year for the Utopia. After one year, the market will resume into its capitalist nature, and all trade will have minimal regulations. Any corporations who fail to acknowledge this will be put out of business and will be on the owner’s permanent record for resisting government policy.
