Perfect Assassin or Perfect Patsy There are innumerable conspiracies regarding the assassination of John F. Kennedy, but according to the film “Oswald’s Ghost”, after forty years none of the theories have panned out. Certainly, it is human nature to find solutions, to solve the mystery, and to have the answer pan out. That is why countless people have tried to solve the mystery by delving into the past of Lee Harvey Oswald to find out if he was the perfect assassin or if he was the perfect patsy. The Occam’s razor explanation, meaning the simplest one is the most likely explanation would suggest that Oswald was the perfect assassin and the only assassin. There are red flags in his childhood and early adult life that suggest he could …show more content…
This deprivation of emotional attachments made him seem devoid of remorse and a conscience. Surprisingly, even though he did not attend school regularly, he was apparently well read and claimed, “I am a Marxist and have been studying socialist principles for well over 15 months” (“Who Was”). After joining the Marine Corps, Oswald received extensive training in marksmanship. Conspiracy theorist have lamented that Oswald was a poor shot and could not have been the assassin but military records indicate otherwise. Gerald Posner adamantly claimed, “He shoots on the rifle range 212, which means he qualifies for the second highest position in the Marine Corps, that of a sharpshooter” (“Who Was”). Oswald even though not seeming to have money was able to afford a decidedly expensive trip to the Soviet Union, where he was able to convince the Russian government to let him defect. While living there he spoke fluent Russian, which he could not have been learned from a book (Koenigsdorf). His marriage was in trouble as he and his wife who frequently argued were living separately at the time of the assignation. His wife worried about his mental state and his ambitions of being a great man, she claimed that he often used an assumed name and lived in a fantasy world (“Who …show more content…
Any number of people could have convinced him to attempt to kill the president and then they would kill him so that any questions could not be answered. There are claims that he was involved with the CIA, the Mafia, Russians, and Cubans. This conglomerate had been at odds with Kennedy and could have had reason to assassinate Kennedy. If they interacted with Oswald, they could have made him some kind of offer he could not refuse, that of a better life, greater power, or public recognition. Undoubtedly Oswald was seeking power, and seemed to have a miserable life so he could have been the perfect pawn in someone else 's plan to kill the president. This could be the reason why he was called a patsy. Additionally, he was known for his dissatisfaction with the American government and wanted to blame it for his own
Later, police arrested Lee Harvey Oswald, a former U.S. Marine, at a nearby theater. By the next morning, Oswald was booked for the murder of President John F. Kennedy. Two days later, Oswald was killed by Jack Ruby, a Dallas nightclub owner, while he was being moved from the city to the county jail. At a glance, the above story sounds as if this should be an open-and-shut case. After all, according to the facts above, Oswald must have killed Kennedy.
Carlos Marcello hired Oswald to killed John F. Kennedy. John f. Kennedy and Robert Kennedy were trying to get rid of organized crimes, Ruby kill Oswald to cover up evidence. The mafia conflict with kennedy started since he became president . n November 26 ruby met with Oswald to plan the assassination of president kennedy . Carlos and Ruby wanted to eliminate kennedy because they hated him ,facts after facts stated that he was a lone gunman he was not really because why did Ruby just kill him afterwards if he did this alone? .
It has been stated that Oswald acted alone and there is no evidence to support he was involved in a conspiracy assassination. There was much research done by the Secretary of State, Defense, Treasury, the Attorney General the FBI, CIA and the Chief Secret Service all of them independently came up with the same conclusion that Oswald acted alone. With so many theories we will never know the truth behind the JFK assassination. In order for an individual to come up with a conclusion they must do their own research and reading to decide the most logical answer to one the most notarized assignations in US History.
In 1956, he joined the U.S. Marines, then two years later he was court-martialed twice for an illegal weapon and violet behavior. The next year Oswald moves to Russia and marries Marina Prusakova in April 1961, then he moves back to the United States in June 1962. Back home he creates a fake identity known as Alek J. Hidell and he gained a support for Cuba. Early in 1963 he bought two guns through the mail, one would later on be used as the murder weapon. One day in April 1963, Oswald decided to go for his first kill
On the other hand, reports show that Carlos Marcelo admitted to the CIA organizing Kennedy's assassination. Furthermore, mafia criminals disliked Kennedy because of his dislike of organized crime. JFK organized 10,000 votes for the election with Chicago mobster boss Sam Giancana. Nevertheless, the CIA concealed vital information from the Warren Commission. During JFK's time in office, a big argument was the CIA's assassination program.
The death of a person could be caused by a number of reasons. In Kennedy’s case, it could have been his inadequacy of war ravenousness or in some American eyes, the Soviets (“JFK Assassination”). The egregious and legal cause of death for this great man was that a man named Lee Harvey Oswald. Oswald was discharged from the U.S. Marines, so he had been trained in learning to use a rifle (“Kennedy Assassinated”). It was said that Oswald killed Kennedy from the sixth floor window of Texas school book depository. The evidence shows that Oswald used a 6.5 mm Carcano...
Only nine days after receiving his discharge, Oswald was on his way to Russia on a VISA (64). On this trip, Lee Harvey would meet his wife Marina. Lee Harvey makes his first assassination attempt against General Edwin Walker. Many believe his motive for killing General Walker was Walker's strong anti-communist beliefs and efforts to bring it down. Lee Harvey Oswald, like many in his life, failed in this attempt.
The assassination of John Fitzgerald Kennedy, the 35th president of the United States marked a tragic historical moment in American history. The president was fatally shot by a sniper while traveling with his wife, Texas Governor John Connally, and Connally’s wife in a presidential motorcade at 12.30 pm on Friday, November 22, 1963. JFK was pronounced dead shortly after rushing to Parkland Hospital, where a tracheostomy and other efforts failed to keep him alive. Although Lee Harvey Oswald, a former United States Marine was convicted of the crime, the purpose behind the assassination remained inclusive as Oswald’s case never came to trial as he got shot to death two days later by Jack Ruby, a local nightclub operator in Texas. The assassination raised many questions and theories concerning the murder. As Oswald’s motives remain unknown, many scholars and investigators yearned to find the key to this mysterious crime, and came up with plausible theories searching for motives behind the assassination. While some straightforwardly blamed Oswald for the murder, claiming Oswald’s personal motives as the cause and supported the theory of the Lone Gunman, many developed more critical theories concerning conspiracies connecting the involvement of Cuba, Russia, the Central Intelligence Agency and the 36th President of the United States Lyndon B. Johnson. The Warren Commission was established by President Johnson to exclusively investigate the assassination. The Commission published a detailed report and concluded that Oswald acted alone. The deficiency of the Warren Commission’s evidence to support its theory along with the cordial relationship between JFK and the CIA refute both the Lone Gunman theory and conspiracies involving the CIA in...
The sentencing of underage criminals has remained a logistical and moral issue in the world for a very long time. The issue is brought to our perspective in the documentary Making a Murderer and the audio podcast Serial. When trying to overcome this issue, we ask ourselves, “When should juveniles receive life sentences?” or “Should young inmates be housed with adults?” or “Was the Supreme Court right to make it illegal to sentence a minor to death?”. There are multiple answers to these questions, and it’s necessary to either take a moral or logical approach to the problem.
On November 22, 1963, at 12:30 in the afternoon, President John F. Kennedy was shot at and killed while participating in a motorcade in Dallas, Texas. The most important question that arises from this incident is ‘Who killed President John F. Kennedy?’ This is an issue which has been debated by scholars, The Government, and even common people alike. Many people seem to feel that it was a conspiracy, some large cover-up within a cover-up.
...e, Lynden Johnson became president after JFK’s assassination, so his motive to murder JFK would have been his desire to rule America. It is also known that the Mafia saw Johnson as a much better “friend in the Whitehouse” than JFK, which meant that Johnson could have planned JFK’s assassination with the help of Mafia. However, this is just a hypothesis and cannot be proved, like the HSCA found out when they uncovered the amount of different conspiracies that there could have been surrounding Kennedy’s death. There were too many conspiracies that couldn’t be proved which meant that the HSCA could not pinpoint who exactly did murder JFK.
Since November 23, 1963, the day after President John Fitzgerald Kennedy was assassinated, there have been speculations as to the happenings of November 22, 1963. Along with the Warren Commission, there are hundreds of conspiracies and theories attempting to explain the assassination of Kennedy. Many people agree with the Warren Commission in that Lee Harvey Oswald acted as the lone gunman, while others maintain that another gunman was involved. Because of extensive evidence, I believe that Oswald did not act alone on November 22, 1963 in the assassination of Kennedy. The additional gunman was strategically placed in the grassy knoll area, in order to shoot at Kennedy from a frontal view (Rubinstein 4).
From examining John F. Kennedy’s assassination, many people have come to the conclusion that there was a second party involved in the shooting of the President of the United States. The writers give great theories and facts leading people to believe that the Warren Report was false and later used to cover up the death of John Kennedy. With this great information out to the public it is obvious that the mob was involved with the planning assassination. After, all this evidence it only makes sense that the Warren Report is false, and that the mob was involved the whole time.
On the fateful day of November 22nd, 1963, our 35th President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas. Seven days after the death of John F. Kennedy, the new President Lyndon Johnson launched a federal investigation into the assassination of JFK. Led by Supreme Court Chief Justice Earl Warren the investigation became known as the Warren Commision. The Warren Commision concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald acted as a lone shooter, and that a single bullet struck JFK in the throat and then struck Texas Governor John Connally. This understanding became known as the Single Bullet Theory. The Warren Commision is clearly flawed, shown through research suggesting a great amount of evidence proving so.One piece of evidence that proves the Warren Commission is faulty is the Zapruder Film, correlating with the words and recollection of events that occurred on November 22nd from the first lady herself, Jacqueline Kennedy. More evidence that proves that the single bullet theory is incorrect comes from a witness named James Teague, who was injured during the shooting. The Warren Commision also made many mistakes early on in the investigation, with other
Since it was the death of a powerful and influential man, his assassination is followed by many conspiracy theories, and therefore, the truth is unreachable to us mere mortals of this world.
