The perfect police might not exist, but it would be great to have a police officer that is perfect for the job. The perfect police officer should have these three characteristics, integrity, adaptability, and impartial. The first quality integrity is something a police officer needs because it would improve the relationship a police officer will have in their community. For example, in an inferior community the police officers are seen as an untrustworthy group, which might lead to people not reporting crimes because they believe the police will lie and blame them for the crime. However, if the police shows integrity and tries to find the actual person who committed the crime, police officers will have a better relationship in the community. …show more content…

The police officer needs to be able to handle the situation correctly and try to show professional demeanor. For instance, in certain cases a police officer might have to deal with a crime that deals with domestic violence. Even though, the police officer would probably want to hurt the person who did the crime, they would have to stay in control of the situation and handle it the right way. Thirdly, impartial is something a perfect police officer would have because there would be less cases of police racially profiling people. For example, if instead of choosing one ethnicity to be guilty all of the time maybe the perfect police will search everyone because anyone can commit a crime. In conclusion, the characteristics listed above would actually make a perfect police officer because in most situations a police officer needs to show at least one of these characteristics in the cases they deal
