I selected this research topic because it is really fascinating on how doctors can go from guessing where the problem is to knowing exactly just by using an MRI machine during surgery. Not a lot of machines will find anything that might cause death or diseases. My research was conducted using Google and the Oakland Community College library database Points of View. My research mostly focused on the new developments and new features that the MRI provides. The information found included articles regarding its advantages, disadvantages, facts, and how it is used.
The water not only ruined the farm land, it ripped through thousands of houses. The flood drove out nearly 931,159 people from the area. It is estimated that 162,017 homes were lost. More than half a million of the people who lost their homes were African American (Bessie
“When I saw my house three weeks after the storm, I was glad it stood, but I knew it was time for change. Now, five years later, I have learned that for me to enjoy the beauty of this place, there is a cost to bear. I love this place and am here to stay, but I have to invest more than I had imagined. The hurricane has greatly affected our lives, but not only in a bad way.” Gene understands that the story does not end with just the damage, but also what it contributes to the future.

About a week later a tornado razed a better part of North Houston. It brought rain. It brought hail. It upended cars; it flooded houses. And in its trail it left fallen branches and trees, and removed, in whole, one tiny tomato-onion-potato-and-green-bean garden located behind my garage.
I have always thought it never mattered what kind of food animals got. Once I read Cat and Dog Food Differences Explained, I learned many things about the nutrients and foods that cats and dogs need. According to the article, cats will not eat food off the floor. A cat will paw and sniff at the food on the floor before rejecting it (Viegas). Dr. Allan Paul states, cats have higher protein needs than dogs do. He also states, cats use protein for an energy source. Cat food contains more than 30 percent of protein. They need extra protein to satisfy their requirements for energy. Vitamin A is a key ingredient for a cat to have in their food. Watson says, meat is the only source cats can get their acids. Cats like food that has a texture to it (Viegas). From what I gathered, dogs are very different when it comes to food. Dogs will eat off the floor and right out of your hand. Dr. Allan Paul says dog food contains 20 to 25 percent of protein. Dogs can get their acids two ways. They can get their source through meats and vegetable oil. Watson states, dogs can convert beta-carotene for their vitamin A
All in all, MRI is a great imaging modality to properly diagnose a patient. MRI has many advantages and does not use any type of radiation. Even though MRI has been around for about a century it has gained a lot of advancement in the image quality. MRI allows a wide variety of anatomy to be imaged such as soft tissue, spine work, and organs. Like any imaging modality MRI does have a couple of disadvantages, but the advantages out way the risks. MRI will continue to improve and will be one of the best imaging modalities in the medical field.

Katrina’s high-speed winds ripped roofs off of homes, knocked trees down into homes, and lifted homes from sturdy foundations. One example of how damaging the high winds were being that a casino in Biloxi was torn from its foundation and carried for two miles. For example, not only were homes ruined from high-speed winds but some were also ruined by water damage. Many people whose homes were ruined by flooding didn’t even have flood insurance. For example, my mother’s friend spent seven years working two jobs to be able to afford a place for her and her two children to live since her insurance didn’t cover flooding. Also, for those people who did have insurance, they had to live in Katrina cottages for several years’ before they were able to get a new house or damages

The diet of the cat is based on development and they should be fed according to their stage of development towards an adult cat. In the wild, cats eat just about anything they can get their paws on; rats, mice, birds, and reptiles. Kittens have a need for higher levels of protein and calories for proper development until they reach the age of 18 months, when the levels of protein drop to just the right amount of protein to sustain themselves. Another reason why cats need to have a healthy meat-based diet is because they have a shorter digestive system than most omnivores and herbivores. They have to absorb more nutrients in a shorter amount of time, thus the need for a lot of protein because they have a very short time to digest it.

Music has changed plenty of times over the last twenty years. Vinyl and cassettes were dominant during the 1980’s and CD’s were unstoppable through the 1990’s until we were finally introduced to digital music consumption through music streaming and MP3 downloads. In 1999, a college student named Shawn Fanning developed a website called Napster, the first free file-sharing program that made use of MP3 technology. This website enabled music to be downloaded from the Internet which immediately dropped CD sales. After Napster was closed down due to legal issues, Apple introduced the iPod in 2001. The iPod was designed to work with the iTunes music service, allowing listeners to purchase a single song for 99 cents. Apple would take a 22-cent retailers cut from every song purchased, leaving 67 cents for labels (Knopper 172). Almost immediately, iTunes emerged as the biggest online retailer, taking more than 70 percent of the music market (Knopper 179). As said in the book Appetite for Self Destruction by Steve Knopper, “Sony Music, which had been so instrumental in developing the CD, merely watched as Apple took over the markets for both digital music players and online songs.” (Knopper 174). The old days of buying CDs, cassettes, and vinyl were now almost completely over due to the new era of digital music
