The one percent yearly pledge has given over $70 million dollars to date since inception and the company was now predicting black Friday would generate around $2 million dollars in sales, both online and in stores, and would be given to "grassroots organizations working in local communities to protect our air, water and soil for future generations" (Glascock, 2016) Sales were much more than predicted and came in over $10 million dollars on black Friday and all of it will be given to grassroots organizations which increased their total by more than 13% in one day (Glascock, 2016).
