Wheatley’s description of the conflict. The conquest that the state of Israel went on after getting a country seems totally unacceptable in today’s times. I now have a better understanding of the pain and conflict that is felt in the region. The movie however did not change my views on suicide bombings. The only fuel that seems to encage with the rational mind is the idea of paradise after death. This ideology however (as seen in the movie) can be superseded with the idea that more work can be done alive than dead. I will never understand how a person who wants to make a difference for his or her cause thinks that blowing themselves up is the way to make the most impact regardless of his or her agenda. Lastly, the movie did help give me get a visual of a terror cell and ideology that can exist. In the news terror is often referenced as a large global group, but the community aspect is often not highlighted. The ideology of these groups is often not a purely religious as many think, which is a concept I am just beginning to understand in this Into to World Religions class. The movie highlights this when Jamal and the terror cell leader discus the payment for other members in the group. In summary the movie help shed light on conflict that highly debated not only in this country, but within the evangelical church. I feel much more educated, and equipped to engage in these conversations
