Introduction:
Purpose: To persuade the audience about why they should play paintball.
Thesis Statement: Paintball is fun. There are lots of things in life that are rewarding, but if they happen to be fun while being rewarding, then they become a must-do activity. Paintball is a lot of fun to play and that sense of fun is what brings me back again and again.

Paintball is an active sport. While there are periods of sitting, hiding and waiting, there are lots of times to run, sprint, jump and move. It provides an excellent chance to get exercise and get my heart rate up. As long as I remember to stretch, then the exercise is always going to be great for my body.
C. Ever since I first played paintball I've loved the adrenaline and adventure it provides. Running through the woods, hiding behind inflatable bunkers, shooting opponents and getting shot just doesn't get old. When the countdown is on before the break or as I first take off once the game begins, there is still the tingle of anticipation that goes down my neck. That feeling will never get
old. II. Main point #2: Who can play paintball? A. Anyone from the age of 10 years old and up can play. You will see people from all walks life playing this great game. Parents and their children, groups of friends, co-workers at a team building event and complete strangers can all play paintball together. III. (Main point #3): The health benefits behind paintball A. Full body workout: Paintball involves crawling, diving, sprinting, dodging and shooting. Because the game is so fast paced and strategic, many players get so caught up in the action they don’t even realize how the body is benefiting. People who have difficulty sticking to a workout routine often claim motivation and boredom as the primary reasons. Paintball offers participants a more enjoyable way to tone up their body without ever having to even think about it as exercise. B. Good for weight loss and overall health: Needless to say, paintball also aids in weight loss. The intense exercise gained from a session of paintball can improve sleep cycles and boost metabolism. Intense workouts also result in the release of endorphins that elevate your mood. Apart from burning more calories, regular exercise through paintball also reduces risk of heart diseases, blood pressure and depression. C. Major stress relief: Playing a rough game of paintball is one of the best ways to vent out your frustration without risking hurting others. Sometimes, venting your anger in the game can also help you improve your skills as a paintballer. The endorphins released during intense exercise also eliminate mental stress and bring a sense of calm.
People accumulate different feelings throughout the average day, yet there are usually no ways to adequately and legally let out those pent up frustrations. Dodgeball, luckily provides a solution. The author of an article named “The Weak Shall Inherit the Gym”, Rick Reilly, believes that “Dodgeball is one of the few times in life when you get to let out your aggressions, no questions asked (Reilly 2)”. In other words, this game is a unique and rare way to let out your daily emotions with a simple activity of throwing a ball at others. The effect of this game is only positive. You can throw balls at other people, relieve yourself of stress, and not injure them since the ball is made of a very soft material. There are in fact, much worse ways to release stress. One example is a school shooting. People who hold the opinion of banning dodgeball in order to keep everything safe and fair are being hypocrites since the frustrations which cannot be let out anymore can still be let out in ways that are significantly more detrimental to the school and it’s
Dodgeball was born over 200 years ago in Africa, where they used rocks to throw at each other and worked together as a team. The game is still played today and uses the same aspect of teamwork, but foam balls are used instead of rocks. Many people think that dodgeball is still too violent and shouldn’t exist. Dodgeball should not be banned in schools because it has health benefits, offers a challenge, and lets students look forward to going to school.

Step after step and swing after swing he is getting closer and closer. His opponent is close behind him in points and hole 18 is approaching. Swinging and missing and hitting the ball in the wrong direction sets him back. After finally making it in hole 17, he realizes it is going to take a miracle to win this match. He sets his feet shoulder width apart, he looks down at the ball and centers his body. The man takes one deep breath in and on the exhale, he swings with maximum force. Quickly he finds the ball flying in the air, approaching the pin with a bright red flag. The ball hits the green and rolls toward the hole. Within a matter of seconds, the ball disappears.
