Out of all the movies that we have watched in class until now, an occurrence at owl creek bridge by Ambrose Bierce, has fascinated me the most. In the beginning of the movie I felt bored because my assumption was opposite than what I was thinking. The owl of occurrence of an owl was not only fascinating but also unique. Moreover, I was surprised with the climax of the story. Depending on how one read the story, one may understand before the climax that Farquhar was not running away but in fact imagining while getting punishment. To Start my paper, I’ll discuss the three significant components based on the story which are time, reality and death. Firstly, we know the time doesn’t generally appear to move in the meantime. When we are desperately waiting a reply form our crush, time goes slowly. But when we are cramming blindly for the Art History exam the day before the exam, time simply flies so fast. In the story, Pyton imagination of his escape shows how effective the human mind is and how it structured the reality. Most of the time, we always wish the mistakes that we did in the past can be fixed it up automatically, so the reality of our life never has to see the consequences. Similarly, the main character of the story made a stupidity to do. As a result, he was captured by the military people to upheld him to hand up by the bridge but the fear of his life, he was dreaming of his family and full of freedom in life without any consequence, these thoughts were on the mind before he was officially hanged back in his
