Dark Souls is an infamously challenging action roleplaying video game produced by Namco. Set in an open world environment, Dark Souls - like it's spiritual predecessor, Demon's Souls - offers the player a formidable challenge while they explore the vast world of the game.

The Witch of Izalith is one of the original Lords who aided Gwyn in the war against the Dragons. She attempted to duplicate the First Flame from a soul but accidentally created a distorted being of Chaos and Fire. Its power formed a bed of life which became source of all demons, the Flame of Chaos also engulfed the Witch and her daughters and molded them into deformed creatures with only Quelaag escaping. The Witch Of Izalith resides under the roots of the Bed of Chaos.
