On September 11, 2001 the world stopped for a moment as two planes flew into the white house. The Pentagon was also hit that day, and a hero saved a plane that was supposed to hit the White House. Americans all over the country were in shock, some knew their loved ones were in the Twin Towers, and hoped that some could make it out alive. Some did, many didn’t, so many precious lives were taken away from innocent humans who thought it was just going to be a normal day at the office. Children are growing up without fathers and mothers, who they will never meet. Whoever did this, needs to be put away, or killed. The man who planned it, Osama Bin Laden was killed on May 2, 2011, 10 years after the terror attacks on the World Trade center that killed many Americans, innocent Americans. Osama bin Laden’s killing was just, and he deserved what he got, there is no doubt in my mind he got what he deserved. …show more content…
Osama bin Laden had many more killings than this, he killed people from all over the place, I know it’s his religion to kill, but what he did over the years were just plane out wrong.
In 1988 Osama bin Laden started the terrorist group al-Qaeda. Osama stole over 250 million dollars, and was already committing murders by then. In 1993 a bomb exploded in the World Trade Center area, the bomb was set off by al-Qaeda members. The bomb did not kill as many as the planes did, but killed up to 6 people and injuring many. In 1995 a bomb went off at a military base, and killed around 15 people, not only Americans were killed also Indian soldiers. In 1996 he called full jihad war on the US. Two years later he killed 224 people in a US embassy in Africa, and three years later his attack on US soil 9/11 was the US last straw. The reason for Osama’s killing wasn’t just because of 9/11 it was to prevent war on jihad that Osama had claimed on the US, if we wouldn’t have killed Osama in 2011 think about how many more terrorist attacks would have gone on in the
US. Osama was killed by one of the top tear branches in our army, the Navy Seals, the man who fired the shot was Mark O’Neil from Montana. Mark also rescued Captain Phillips when Somalian pirates took over his ship. The Seals experienced many tragedies through the search for Osama, when they got there his killing was all for it. They saw their brothers go down in battle, and some are traumatized for life, and there’s even a thought going through peoples mind that his killing was “unjust” or wrong. I think Bush did good in sending his troops into battle, no doubt about it. Osama bin Laden’s killing was just becuase he called war on the US, don’t think we won’t come in and fight you if you talk smack. It was fully Osama’s fault he declared jihad war on the strongest nation in the World, an almost undefeated army at the time. If you call war on an almost undefeated army then don’t expect not to get killed. After all the killing of Osama bin Laden was just, and that's that. He called war on America, which means we were “technically” in war with al-Qaeda, and all killings in war are just. He planned the attacks on the Twin Towers which killed thousands of Americans, harmless, innocent Americans. Lastly he killed other people than Americans his killing was to get a harmful jihadist of this planet, and we succeeded.
Osama bin Laden was an adversary of the West for years and it was known to the whole world. Unfortunately, he took it a little further by having two planes fly into the World Trade Center, one into the Pentagon and another plane possibly for the White House. As we all know, this is the unforgettable day of September 11, 2001. Thousands of Americans were innocently murdered that day and in our own country by a terrorist organization. The United States of America would not stand for this and rapidly sought out Osama Bin Laden for what he had done to us. This is the day that caused the United States to accelerate the search and destruction efforts of bin Laden. Soon after September 11th, the United States was very involved in Afghanistan in trying to find him.
September 11, 2001, is a day that will go down in history and never be forgotten. On this day in time, Islamic terrorists attacked the World Trade Center in New York City, as well as The Pentagon building in Washington, D.C. The terrorists, who were affiliated with Al Qaeda, were led by the one and only, Osama Bin Laden. Nine days after this devastating attack on our country, President George W. Bush addressed Congress with an unplanned State of the Union address. Bush used great amounts of tragedy with a direct vital tone to deliver a very important message. Ultimately, this message would reach out to the American people as a whole, not only for remembrance of the people who lost their lives, but also as a plan of action for what would lie ahead.
On September 11, 2001 the World Trade Center buildings one and two were attacked. However, who we were attacked by and even if we were attacked is a hard decision to make. There have been many different claims about how everything on that fateful day happened. There are facts that we know are true, though; Flight 11 flew into the North Tower at eight forty- six in the morning. Soon after, Flight 175 attacked the South Tower. By the end of the day, both towers had collapsed and other hijacked flights had caused damage. The amount of lives lost on September 11 was substantial; 2,749 people from eighty-three different countries died from the attacks (Facts about the attacks…, n.d.). All in all, America was changed forever.
The history of the United states consisted of victories, losses, and the ones who cause it. Osama Bin Laden was a man who caused the loses of many lives and also caused the victory of strength. Although Osama has caused an abundance of negative impacts to the United States, many things were learned from it. As unbelievable as it is, Bin Laden was an advantage in many ways that may not overrule the negative but is still significant. We have learned that the attacks were due to actions committed by our own Country and was not a random attack as well as the fact that our leaders cannot always be trusted. Not only have we learned but we took action in our new lessons. Additionally, Osama has shown America and many places around the world what exactly religion has to do with politics and finally, what many people around the work want and feel. Although Osama Bin Laden was a man that had negative intentions that led to many calamities, he was a voice that spoke out and allowed America to understand that the freedom we had was not replicated all over the world manly due to what America has done. Osama Bin Laden was one man who killed thousands, cost millions, and impacted billions of people and had an impact that was beneficial, and immensely negative to society and those who lived in it.
On September 11, 2001 terrorists crashed two American airline airplanes into Twin Towers, killing thousands of people. It was the worst terrorist attack in American history and it showed us that we are not protected by Atlantic and Pacific. It showed us that we could be attacked by anyone at anytime. It showed us that if we will be attacked again that we can only depend on each other and not on other nations to help us. The 9/11 changed people forever, some lost family members or friends, others lost their jobs even so called “American Dream.”
We all heard of 9/11. I mean who hasn’t heard of 9/11, do you guys know who planned and attacked the Twin Towers, the Pentagon and try to hit the U.S Capitol. It is Osama Bin Laden the dead terrorist and the leader of Al Qaeda. Osama Bin Laden is a terrorist that bombed the U.S and the western philosophy by attacking U.S embassies, the Oklahoma city suicide attack and a lot more suicide attacks that are really dangerous. He was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 1957 or 1958.
9/11 was one of the darkest days in America, but some say the government could have been part of these attacks. For many years people have debated about the 9/11 cover up. This theory cannot explain why the government would do this. Once people understand why the 9/11 cover up is fake, they will begin to see the answer to their problem, could the government have done this? This conspiracy theory is wrong because, terrorists admitted to the attacks, so many people died, and there's no evidence against the government.
This was not the first time, but it was the worst. Americans stood dumbfounded as the beautiful towers fell to the ground. New York City’s famous Twin Towers crumbled, engulfed in a cloud of smoke due to the work of the Islamist terrorist group, al Qaida. Many innocent people were murdered on September 11, 2001. Al Qaida’s victory was short lived and their leader, Osama bin Laden, knew he had to hide after he attacked the world’s most powerful country. Bin Laden knew the United States would find him, maybe not today, or next month, or not even next year but some day. Although we could have captured him the United States was right to kill Osama bin Laden because it was the only way to be sure he paid for his crimes.
The man who was behind the deaths of nearly 3,000 people. How could is death be unjustified? Osama bin Laden was killed on May 2nd 2011 at his compound base in Pakistan. He is most known for being the man behind the 9/11 attacks but he was also involved in more plans to harm the U.S. Osama bin Laden’s assassination was justified because he wanted to carry out plans to kill and harm americans, and he was the man behind the 9/11 attacks which is the largest terrorist attack on U.S soil; though some believe he should have been captured instead of killed. His assassination was completely justifiable and by no means harmless man.
troops were staying. They killed two Australian tourists. At the same time, a group of al-Qaeda operatives were caught trying to shoot rockets at U.S. planes. In 1993, al-Qaeda bombed the World Trade Center and killed 6 people. That same year, al-Qaeda created a large plan to bomb places all over New York, but the FBI raided their warehouse and arrested 12 people. Also in 1993, al-Qaeda tried to kill the prince of Jordan, and they trained Somalis to kill Americans, which lead to America leaving Somalia. In 1995, a plan to blow up 11 jumbo jets was created, but it got edited and turned into the plans for the 9-11 bombings. There were also many other attacks by al-Qaeda from 1993 to 2000 that included car bombs and suicide bombers (msnbc.com 1). On September 11, 2001, three planes flew into the North Tower of the World Trade Center, South Tower of the World Trade Center, and the Pentagon. This was the biggest terrorist attack on the United States as it killed a little over 3,000 people, and scared the rest of the country (History.com 1). This attack was al-Qaeda’s greatest accomplishment, and after 2001, they performed many more suicide bombings and car bombs. To stop these attacks from happening and people dying, Bin Laden was assassinated in 2011. After that, al-Qaeda fell of the
On September 11, 2001 the United States was devastated by four terrorist attacks by the Islamic terrorist group al-Qaeda. The terrorist attacks took place in Manhattan, New York, Arlington County Virginia, and Stonycreek Township near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The attacks killed 2996 people, injured over 6,00 others, and cost at least $10 billion in property damage. 9/11 was the single deadliest incident for firefighters and law enforcement in the United States. A total of 411 emergency workers died trying to rescue people and fight the fires. Osama bin Laden was the mastermind behind this horrific attack on the United States. They were trying to get revenge on the United States for their support of Israel and their involvement in the Persian
The Jihad is probably one of the most misunderstood and feared terms in modern day America. Ever since the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City on September 11th, 2001, the Muslim religious duty of Jihad has had only negative connotations. Of course, seeing two trademark buildings collapsed and mangled on the groundwith thousands dead all in the name of religion would have anyone jump to a negative conclusion. But what most people don’t understand is that the meaning of the term “Jihad” is one greatly left up to interpretation. Each sect of the Islamic religion has a different take on this religion duty and the expectation that go along with it. Therefore, the idea of Jihad that America has learned to fear might not be the true meaning, concept, and intention of the word at all.
In 1993, the World Trade Center was attacked from the basement floor by a bomb in a truck. “Six people were killed, while one thousand were injured.” (A Synopsis: Clinton Set The Stage for 911) Bill Clinton, to involved with interns to investigate, did not do anything about the attack. Clinton did decide to investigate the event, only it was two years after it had happened. Now in 1995, investigators found that Usama Bin Laden had been in charge of the 1993 attack. Once the news was released about this information, the country of Sudan came to the United States telling us that they could get us Usama Bin Laden if we wanted to press charges against him. Bill Clinton was reported as saying “Usama Bin Laden is not a threat to the United States.” He was reported saying this in the year 1995, after he found out that Bin Laden was responsible for the acts. However, Clinton did take action in 1998, in which he bombed a Sudanese aspirin factory, which he claimed held chemical weapons, on the eve of the Monica Lewinsky trial. This killed hundreds of innocent workers in the factory. “If any one act inspired hatred towards America, that was it.” (A Synopsis: Clinton Set the Stage for 911)
“You can’t win the war on crime, or the war on terror. You can’t repeal human nature.” (Robert Harris). Robert Harris is a writer and a former journalist for the BBC. He examines the war on terror in this quote saying it is unwinnable and it is just human nature for people to terrorize and commit crimes. If this is true, the US government has been spending money and resources on a war that is unwinnable. But, this is just someone's opinion, right? The argument of the validity of the war on terror will be examined as well as how the US should cease funding for it because it is destroying the economics and society of the United States.
Al Qaeda, the organization that the United States is in a constant, never ending battle with, the organization that has made the most impact and changed the United States forever. Al Qaeda is always making headlines with their terrorist attacks, the most known attack September 11th, 2001. This essay is about the terrorist group Al Qaeda, its history and background, Osama bin Laden, their well-known leader, and the major attacks on America.
