When it comes to children having access to creative and organized activities, both of these can have serious long term effects in terms of how it may reflect on the children and how they may play a part in today's society. However, comparing the two only leads to creative freedom taking the overall ladder when contrasting creativity and organization. Before explaining the benefits of creative freedom, I think it's necessary to address the dire issues that organized activities bring with it. While organized activities prevents significant self-growth, creative freedom allows the growth of children to be natural rather than forced and unrealistic. On the other hand, giving children more independence to express art, create crafts, and setting new rules allows for more effective development in "critical thinking and problem solving skills". It may also lead to better social skills when it comes to "creative group play" where children who pretend to be someone else can understand what it's like to naturally interact with other people and learn how to talk with others. Something that many teens and adults lack. This can also be applied to those participating in art projects and group activities as they learn to work together with efficiency as well as adapt to new obstacles by establishing new rules to different circumstances. Overall, they become more self-independent and learn to rely on eachother rather than adults. In the long run, children can become more self-reliable which can most definitely have a larger benefit for them and society later in life. When I was younger, I had a very strong passion in drawing and computer technology. By the time I got to high school, those same passions never left me and I had developed a strong sense of creativity and independency from others as I developed a strong idea of who I am. With that in mind, it had proved to be beneficial as it helped me become more decisive to take on more responsibility for myself as my passions made my direction much more clear. Creativity is an essential attribute of human beings that is primarily developed in our childhood. Creativity is defined as the ability to use the imagination to develop new and original ideas or things, especially in an artistic context. This artistic context can range anywhere from visual arts, to music, to dance. Although, the problem today is that this critical role of imagination, discovery, and creativity in a child 's education is not being fulfilled to its maximum. The cause of this expanding problem is that too many art and music programs, which promote creativity, are being taken out of school programs. Problems around this issue then begin to surface; children will soon not appreciate, or realize, creativities ' vital importance and how it shapes oneself. For an effective education creativity needs to be present within all aspects of a primary classroom. So what does it mean to be ‘creative’? According to Sir Ken Robinson “creativity is the process of having original ideas which have value”. Creativity can be demonstrated through the use of technology, problem solving experiments and allowing children the freedom to explore and express new ideas. It is very important to ensure a child can get the best creative education; this is because creativity will give the necessary skills needed for our future.
