Freedom is something that must be regained in every generation. Throughout the years, freedoms and rights have become more available to all people. Every four or eight years a new president is elected to run office, but with such a prestigious role comes immense power and control. Our next president, Donald Trump can affect our generation by acting or motioning to change laws. Therefore, our president can change influence the people on what freedoms ALL people are able to obtain. A passed law, states that all men in women are created equal, but the president elect could decide that wages should be changed between men and woman for the same career. It's our responsibility to fight against something that can affect our future as a country negatively. As we grow and flourish, as a country we need to protect everything that we have been granted and provided with. In addition, it's important that we motivate our peers to fight for freedom and rights for all people regardless of their ethnicity or gender. Motivating and inspiring others to follow their beliefs and understand the changes that can be made will help them to fight and continuing motivating. Our future can be greatly impacted by how we handle changes that are being made and how we react to those changes. When people join together to fight for a cause then the result will ultimately be in their favor. Furthermore, it's essential to teach our younger and future generations to educated themselves and understand the changes that are being made. It's important to educated others on how effective we can be when we are educated and use our voice. Our future generations can help to better our chance to regain our freedoms and rights. If our older generations teach our younger generations how our county and federal government runs then our future generations will learn how to
What we fail to realize is that there is strength in numbers and that we must not lose sight of the struggles that went on before us that granted our civil rights. Sure, gone are the days of Jim Crow, and even though there is not a movement that will define this generation, it is important to realize that the fight for equality is never over.
Standing up, united as one soul, helping one another will make our freedoms validated; it only takes action to conquer. .
It is important to fight for what you believe in because this will benefit us in our future.
Only through a changed government, a better government, will the American people experience true freedom.
Men get paid higher than women although in most cases women are more educated than men. There needs to be equality. A.Problem: Despite these educational gains, women continue to lag behind men in employment, income, business ownership, research and politics. This pattern of inequality suggests that societal expectations and cultural norms regarding the appropriate roles for men and women as well as inherent biological differences between the sexes are limiting the benefits of women’s educational advantage.
The prompt for this essay is, “Does freedom need to be won more than once?” In my opinion, it does and it has to be won with every generation. I think even though there are laws ensuring our rights, they are not always upheld. For example, women and men are supposed to be equal, but in some situations they get paid less. In this essay, I will argue that our freedoms must continually be earned. For instance, the Revolutionary War was fought to gain independence from Britain, the Civil War was fought to abolish slavery, and the Women’s Suffrage Movement in the 1910s to 1920s was aimed to allow women to vote.
Freedom remains the sole basis for American society as we know it. Without freedom the great nation of America would have never been founded. To understand the true principles of freedom, one must understand the scope of the word. Philosophical freedom encompasses the ability to make choices without restraints, while political freedom is the state of being free rather than in physical confinement. Despite the importance of these ideas to our founding fathers, freedom has lost much of its importance in modern American society. The failure to stress the importance of freedom has diminished the quality of life for the entire American populous
...t for their right to have a say in how their country should be run. In their old age, the leaders of the American Revolution and eventual founders of the United States worried about the extent to which democracy pervaded society. However, their actions planted the seeds for oppressed groups to fight for their rights. A country whose founding principle is that “all men are created equal…with certain unalienable rights” including “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” will always give people hope for a better future.
So instead people should speak their voice and let others know what their message is. Because without integrity, Courage, and beliefs we wouldn’t have equal right between blacks and whites in this country, we wouldn’t have lives be protected and saved by Woman and Men in uniform, and we wouldn’t even have a country without our Founding fathers speaking up.
Becoming educated we earn the right to make changes and to be heard. I am proud to be a part of culture that has come from Warriors. We are natural fighters and have the ability to become powerful in a positive way. By helping and supporting each other anything is possible, even saving my home, La Mission.
The Equal Pay Act (part of the Fair Labor Standards Act), forbids employers to compensate women differently for jobs that are “substantially equal”, that is, almost identical. Traditionally, women have worked in different occupations than men; these occupations tend to be substantially different, pay less and confer less authority.
Our freedom gives us the ability to do this, to make changes. We all need to realize what being a citizen of the United States is all about. It is about acceptance, equality, freedom and love. Not discrimination, racism and war. People in America are the ones who make the country what it is.
Women’s right to equal pay or gender pay gap has been a subject of discussion over the years in the united states, women perform similar jobs to men, but are paid
But in order to do this and share their voice, they need to get “the best education possible so you can think critically, so you can express yourself clearly, so you can get a good job and support yourself and your family, so you can be a positive force in your communities.” This helps reinstate the fact that through a good education, it can help empower to speak their voice and fight for what they believe is
Freedom is one of, if not the most, important aspects of modern society. All of human history can be seen, through primary sources, as a struggle for power, and said struggle results in the freedoms of certain peoples or populations being completely eradicated for hundreds of years. These populations are fighting for, and in some cases gaining, their rights. The freedoms available to people across the world are constantly changing, as can be seen during the enlightenment, imperialism, and even today, where freedom of scattered around the world with no real consensus.
