We live in a world where women are no longer seen as simple housewife that do not have the capability to work outside of their homes. Oprah Winfrey is one of those women who has contributed greatly to our society and is still contributing today. By 2013 Winfrey donated 12 million to a museum called Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History and Culture. She also created a charity in 1998, which provided grants to non-profit organizations and projects all around the world. Winfrey also established an organization to help develop leadership for girls. Winfrey has contributed so much of her time and own money to help others in need. She has inspired many women and others to follow their dreams and take the first step to success.
