Each semester, Thousands of students in the US take at least one online class. In 2006, these numbers, estimated about 3.2 million. Back in 1980s the online learning limited only on watching previously recorded videos, but the online learning has increased with technology boost and stimulate. Some schools entirely offer their class online only and the other has both online learning and traditional too as well. On the other hand, the technology advancing has gave online learning more innovation in the way it is seen now. Hess and Gunter are PhD holders and professors at the Central Florida University they have launched a research on the online learning by using the game based and non-game based method. They have provided evidence on the outcomes and the result for the student and teacher experience as well. The authors provided a persuasive environment to imply the aspects of game or non-game based online learning effectiveness. “Is that will help students gain a more educational perspectives outcome to the students?”(Hess, Gunter, p373) The authors set out many questions such as is this research motivates student and boost up the student desire toward online courses. The authors used a “mixed method and triangulation” in order to analysis and anticipate the result.
