The prospect of finding an ever-more-compatible mate on online dating websites might be a future of a relationship instability. Online dating is a track that can be led to changing a person’s mentality when meting different people that can cause future uncertainties about their standards and commitment. Although online dating has had good outcomes in some people, for the most part, it is a trend that the digital advancement of technology offers. The problem is weather it changes the standers in every date experience and the value of being committed to build an actual relationship. This shows how Slater conveys that having a lot of options can interfere with the final option. I believe people have certain standards that they look forward in a partner and online dating websites helps them pick out small details that have to be completed to take another step. “raising the bar for what they consider a good relationship” (Slater 218). After a while they raise their standers when getting to know someone because they know what would work out for them. People who practice online dating have a lot of experience over all the dates they have been on and it shows them what exactly they look for. “You could say online dating allows people to get into relationships, learn things, and ultimately make a better selection” (Salter 219-220). Online dating is meant to match people into relationships but I believe it’s very difficult to even stay in that stage because of the high bars people put in front so it’s a repeated lesson
