Obtaining a license in the state of Georgia is a fulfilling accomplishment that one can make for their career. It is the beginning to helping make a change in individuals lives and changes in the world. However, the success of becoming a professional counselor takes hard work and dedication and the ability to see the bigger picture of the mission that needs to be accomplished. Furthermore, it also takes an educational background to fulfill theses goals as well. In order for a person to obtain their license in the state of Georgia, there is a proper process a person must abide by if, not the person will not get their license. Before I assumed that getting a license was easy because I thought that it really was not that complicated. Personally for me when I attended therapy I never really realized that just a scary it is for me to open up it can be difficult for the counselor as well. I just thought my counselor needed to have a listening ear. However, he would have never gone to school, ad gain the experience helps him to become a better counselor. I recalled that at the beginning of the human relations programs the classes talked about how people look unto counselor as the experience in their field. Even though that the couslor is not that one who is receiving the help, they are still in the hot seat in terms of the expectations that are set for them in this profession. I now know that when I attend counseling, I really can admire my counselor for one listening to my problems and two the amount of hours that he took to complete his profession says a lot about his determination to successes. For me personally, I have attended the therapy session and me never really understood the behind the scenes work that counselor
