A Certified nursing assistant is one of the members of the health care team. It is also known as a CNA or Nursing Aide. They refer to the ones they care for as residents or patients. In the medical field, a CNA is the lowest paid, however they are the ones who do all of the work such as physical work. They come in contact with the residents more than anyone else; they are the prime care givers. They are always under the supervision of licensed practical, licensed vocational and registered nurses, known as LPN/LVN or RN. The residents/patients that they deal with need long term care, like nursing homes and caring for them at their home. Since they are long term, staying with a faculty up to several months and even years, many CNA’s create a bond and close relationship with them. The main thing they do for them is produce basic care for them or known to them as activates of daily living or ADL. Great paying CNA jobs are very easy to find, even though it requires little training and a variety of skills.

It is very important that a person picks the right type of career for them. Otherwise you will be unhappy with what you are doing and will not enjoy it at all. I am not entirely sure what I want my career to be but I have a pretty good idea as to what type of job it will be. I would like to go into the field of a physical therapist and sports medicine, I fell I will enjoy this more than any other type of career just because I already have a lot of interest in it.
To obtain a license, the graduate will have to pass the National Council Licensing Exam (NCLEX) to become a licensed nurse. The NCLEX, which is a computerized test, is only offered on a computer. The test requires you to answer at least, 75 questions and a maximum of 265 questions. The testers only have six hours to finish the test, which in my opinion is more than enough time. However, in order to pass this test, the computer must be 95 percent certain that the test taker is above the passing standard. Certifications for nurses recognize their knowledge and skills within a specific area. In fact, nurses with certifications in special areas earn more than those who aren’t certified. In order to earn certifications, the nurse will have to successfully pass an exam. This exam is offered through nursing associations that offer certification test. Nevertheless, there are other ways besides taking an exam to gain
My commitment to pursue a career in nursing stems from my desire for making a positive difference in another person’s life as it was made for my entire family life growing up in Western Africa. I was born in the Western part of Africa and I knew and lived first-hand how impoverished health disparity is among the underserved areas in my community. While growing up in Africa and being the oldest of six siblings with a father and a mother who are uneducated; life was seriously hard not knowing where the next meal will come from. At age ten years, my father was seriously ill and was taken to the hospital

I choose to be a Family Nurse Practitioner. In many ways, it has also chosen me. I was twelve years old when I first thought of becoming a nurse. I was spending time with my elderly neighbor who was like a grandmother to me, and she had an accident. She was mortified. I ran over and got something to clean it up and started to wipe up the mess without thinking about it. “We all have accidents,” I said. After she got changed she said, “You were meant to be a nurse. Some day you will be, I just know it.” She passed away later that year and I have never forgotten that moment.
The career i chose is a branch of the medical field. I chose a career in nursing, more specifically the career path of a registered nurse.
