Also, I do not know if the issue is with either not being able to turn on the board or something to do with a function of the board (touch/display/video/ sound/etc). Per manufacturer's website, we should do the classic turn it on/off and remove any devices that had been recently plugged into the board. The students and I began lesson 1,“Analyzing the Development of Central Ideas”. I essentially chose this lesson since analyzing central idea within a text might be a big part of the state test. The group and I read the introduction, most students participated in reading. I explained to the group what a central idea and supporting details were. I used an example of books and how each story had a central idea and details that back up its claim. Afterwards, we examined the cartoon, and determined the central idea. I explained to them the chart of determining central idea and details that support the claim. I had students in their own words tell me what a central idea was.
Hello, Dr. Honore, and Readers of the Journal Entry We are now at the mid-term of this course and I agree that we are progressing. The interesting challenges are embraced. I’m Māori Johnson, and I’m a naturalized citizen of the United States of America from Jordan. Naturalization is defined by the U.S Citizenship and Immigration Service (2013) as the process by which U.S citizenship is granted to a foreign citizen. It’s a rigorous thing to accomplish which consist of first applying for citizenship, if accepted you then go through a written test and exam, probably most natural born citizens couldn’t pass. After you’re accepted life isn’t the easiest to begin. I’ve had to leave behind my job in my former country to pursue my new life here. I am pursing a master’s degree in communications from Texas State University to better my opportunities here. However, I’m working at a local H-E-B while I attempt to pursue a career in my area of expertise while attending school. So as a user who just built a computer, I used a full size ATX motherboard with 2 DDR3 4GB cards, Intel i7-4940MX 64 bit, AMD Radeon R9 graphics card. I tried turning my computer on and nothing happens. The fan comes on for a brief second then shuts off. I should also say that when I hit the power button no LEDs come on. There are also no beeps when I hit the power button. And finally the screen does not come on as well. I have made sure all the plugs in the back are in the right jack and tight, which they are. I have also opened the case and there were no loose parts. The computer is also in a well-ventilated area so it can get air passing through; it is not in a corner or anything. When I was putting together my personal computer, I did just break up with my girlfriend so it is possible when I was putting together my computer I may have forced something, but I went in and checked the RAM and the DVD drive, the PCI video card and so on, and everything was not broken and not lose. Now thinking about it, when I was installing the processor I did hear a grinding sound but I ignored it because I was still able to close the processor latch. I should also mention that this is my first computer that I have built myself. I have had many computers in the past, but this was the year I thought it would be worth it to build my own personal computer. I asked a friend of mine who is pretty good with computers to come over and take a look to see if he could find the problem. What I knew about my computer was how to turn on and off by pressing the big button at the bottom of my computer. I turned on the computer and had no idea what to do next, but I was still happy. I just clicked on everything and did not know how t o go back to the previous screen. Whenever I had problems with my computer, I just turned off the computer. It was pretty simple to clear my computer problems by pressing the power switch. The power switch was a problem solver.
