When it comes to video game companies the one that has the most extended history to date is Nintendo. What started out as a small company it grew to the vision that people has seen today. Even though there are two companies that not only have console and games, nevertheless Nintendo were the ones that help put video games back on the market. This evidence appears by going through the overview, financial, use of technology, and SWOT/Porter Five Forces.

The proprietary of their hardware comes Nintendo Switch, Nintendo 3DS, and Amiibos. The Nintendo Switch is the current gaming console after its predecessor the Nintendo Wii U did not do so well with sales. It is a hybrid console that can not only be a home console; it can be a portable handheld device like its 3DS/2DS cousin. Nintendo 3DS a handheld gaming system that can play both regular DS games and 3DS games. For those that don't want the 3D feature can turn it off or get a 2DS that is the 3DS but without the 3D. Then there are the Amiibos small figurines that are compatible with the Wii U, Switch, and New 3DS. Amiibos unlock unique features that some games for these gaming systems. Some of their accessories like the 3DS chargers with are custom made by Nintendo also qualify for this. For non-proprietary hardware, this is usually in the form of third-party accessories that are compatible with Nintendo's products. Charging cables such as the USB-C connector for the Switch, unlike the 3DS model this connector is custom made. Then there are the Micro SD cards. These cards can expand the amount of memory that a 3DS or a Switch can hold. They are instrumental for players that what to download more games from the Nintendo
