Since the start of this quarter I have been reading the novel Reconstructing Amelia by Kimberly McCreight and I am currently on 153. This book is about Amelia Barron and her alleged suicide. Right before Amelia jumped from the roof of her private school, she was caught cheating on a test. Amelia’s mother, Kate, is in disbelief that her sweet, perfect, obedient daughter would turn recalcitrant, and in even more disbelief that her daughter would commit suicide. When Kate gets an anonymous text stating that Amelia did not jump, she set out to find out what really happened to her daughter. This book jumps from three main perspectives; the perspective of Kate after Amelia dies, the perspective of Amelia before she dies, and various sources of social
The final chapters represent the resolution of the story. Tori finally solo rowed across the Atlantic Ocean and I married not.

Using the murder of Dee Ann’s mother as a means to intertwine the lives of the characters together, Steve Yarbrough examines the nature of relationships in “The Rest of Her Life.” The relationships in the story take a turn after Dee Ann’s mother is killed, with characters seeking to act more on their own, creating distance between many relationships throughout the story. Independent lifestyles prevent emotional bonds that hold relationships together from forming, thus preventing the characters from maintaining healthy relationships. The dysfunctional relationship present between Dee Ann and Chuckie in “The Rest of Her Life” is the result of the characters ' desire for self-gratification.

This story was a weird one. The details didn't really make any sense until you got to the very end when it all came together. These types of stories make me angry because most of the time they are literally about nothing and I am not patient enough to read them if they are pointless. This story was really frustrating to read because you have no idea what is going on throughout the story until you get to the end where all of the details come together. I can only be confused for so long until I give up on trying to figure it out. Raymond Carver wrote the short story Everything Stuck to Him and the ending is what really ties this story all together the ending is where the ending is where we figure out from the details that the father and daughter are trying to work on their relationship, the ending showed me the father and daughter relationship by the use of details, and this story ends happily because the father has a moment of where he puts the past behind him.
The book begins as a mystery novel with a goal of finding the killer of the neighbor's dog, Wellington. The mystery of the dog is solved mid-way through the book, and the story shifts towards the Boone family. In reality she moved to London to start a new life because she was unable to handle her demanding child. With this discovery, Christopher's world of absolutes is turned upside-down and his faith in his father is destroyed. Christopher, a child that has never traveled alone going any further than his school, leaves his home in order to travel across the country to find his mother who is living in London.
The ending of the book is highly controversial and extremely maddening to most people. Lois ...
