To be a outstanding professional soccer player, it is usually the case that you need to be tall, fast and very strong. The interesting thing about Landon is that he doesn’t really fall into the tall and strong categories. Standing pretty short at 5 feet 8 inches it is very hard for Landon to win ball in the air over tall center backs or muscle the ball off a player when you are almost four or five inches smaller then them, but Landon has shown us how to use your own positives to your advantage. With being very small, Landon is quite agile and can dribble the ball very quickly. Knowing this Landon has learned to use these skills to get around many player and score many goals and by doing this he has shown many smaller than average player that they are not at a disadvantage.

Although it is not the most competitive and attractive league, the soccer league, Liga Do Brasil, has still managed to produce teams that in their golden ages became international powerhouses. Santos Futebol Clube holds a joint record for most league titles, eight titles, in the history of Liga Do Brasil. It has also been very successful in the Copa Do Brasil, a knockout tournament that is played not only by the first division but as well as teams from lower divisions. Santos would first peak and enjoy success in the years from 1961 – 1965. In those fours years, Santos was widely considered as the best team in the world. In that time it won six of its eight national titles, five of its six national cups, also was crowned two time South American champions, and also once international champions (“Santos FC Characteristics”). That team consisted of a defense lead by legends like Gilmar and Zito but the most notable player in their starting eleven was Pelé. It took around fifty more years for Santos to win multiple titles in a season. In the 2010 – 2011 season Santos won a national title as well as a South American Title (“Santos FC Characteristics”). Neymar, just like Pelé, was the essential key to winning those ...
Pelé's soccer career started early. After playing in a few amateur teams like Baquinho and Sete Setembro, at the age of 11, while playing for an uncoached team called Ameriquinha, he was discovered by a former Brasilian World Cup player named Waldemar de Brito. De Brito recognized Pelé's skills and invited him to join the team he was organizing (Clube Atlético Baurú?). When Pelé was fifteen, in 1956, de Brito took him to the city of São Paulo to try out for the professional club called Santos Futebol Clube (SFC). That day, de Brito told the team directors that "This boy will be the greatest soccer player in the world."

In conclusion, we can see that Messi’s career have been successful in over a short period of time. But, has also had some upsets that were overcome by the young superstar and also overcame his disorder to reach his goal of being a professional soccer player. In addition, all his hard work have paid off because he won some of the most prestigious award that a soccer player can get at this level, like the Golden Ball. And that can say that he is the “FIFA World Player”, of the seasons 2008 and 2009, because all the people decided that he decided, such as thing like that.

With a smooth and controlled kick, the ball trickled into the net with a serene kind of spin. It seemed as if the whole thing had been in slow motion. As soon a the ball smacked up against the net, the entire net jolted back. The goalkeeper dove and grunted as he tried to reach the ball, but he just couldn’t. Lionel Messi’s shot was just too good.
