Did you ever wonder how sports players get so ripped? Well, you can now follow your favorite athlete's workout routine to get fit, fast! In, Get Fit with Your Favorite: Athlete, stars from major sports in the United States will introduce themselves, followed by a highlight reel, before the athlete leads an interactive workout for the viewers to follow along with. Where television and streaming stands today, I am interested in partnering with Netflix. This show will be aimed towards young adults, aged 18 till 35, but will be available for all users subscribed to the service. While television is still extremely prominent in today's media world, the times are changing. Since Netflix is on-demand, I plan to have a category for each sport, so that the viewer can choose for example, basketball, followed by …show more content…
showing all episodes hosted by basketball stars. Thanks to the name of the show, the future is bright, as the show can go in many directions. While I am pitching Get Fit with Your Favorite: Athlete, I could've also pitched a version hosted by a famous actor or actress, rather than a sports star, proving the limitless options that the show could spring into. This also leads to franchise opportunities such as producing special episodes or creating a spin-off series showing how these exercises can change a person, such as a before and after style show. Let's say that it's time for the World Series; we would have one of the stars performing in this huge event show the audience their special routine for preparing for the event, which would be sold separately in-stores and online. Funding will not be extremely expensive, as the only parts of this show other than the crew and equipment, is a workout studio, which can be rented for each individual taping, along with a top-tier star in their profession and post-production costs. There are also options based on brand deals to fund the show, as many of these superstars already have brands attached to their names. A company such as, Fitbit, could provide funding for the show as long as Fitbit's are advertised in each episode. Since, Get Fit with Your Favorite: Athlete is a workout routine show, the athlete and anyone else on screen could wear a Fitbit, followed by a statement about the company and its product at the end of each episode. There is also an option to create a protein bar or shake with a company, such as a collaboration with Combat Crunch Bars, the number one rated protein bar company of 2018 according to www.bodybuilding.com. There are endless companies that can be contacted about sponsorship and funding in the exercise and fitness world, leaving me worry-free about finding funding. With the help of Netflix, funding should open up to a new level, along with potential contacts and clients.
Should Nike, for example, pick up Get Fit with Your Favorite Athlete, many openings will present themselves, such as connections with players in professional sports such as: basketball, baseball, soccer, football, and hockey. This would allow for mega-superstars to hear about the show and decide to join for an episode to show off their workout routine. Since each episode would have a different host, there wouldn't be any main characters, other than the co-host, who would be played perfectly by Julian Michaels, as she has hosted the show, The Biggest Loser, possibly the best primetime workout show in television history. Each episode would have a running time of sixty-minutes. Since I am attempting to broadcast the show through Netflix, people can watch the show at their own convenience, rather than whenever it would air on television. With the nature of this type of show, a workout show, a mass audience will be brought in, not only because of the star's name and brand, but also through the athletic community, as people want to learn how to get
fit. On average, people would prefer to be fit over being out of shape, and now it is possible with the help of the best athletes in their game. Anyone aged 18 to about 35 are the ideal demographic for this show, but everyone is gladly welcomed. Anyone on Netflix would be able to view the show, along with each episode being categorized by the profession of the guest-host. This show would run for many years, with options to new pathways, such as a dancer's routine versus a swimmer's routine for example. Finally, there would be a way for fans to tell us what they want to see by contacting us through our website. Our show not only listens to the fans, but gets them fit, fast!
The current CEO of Netflix has done an amazing job so far, becoming one of the biggest streaming media providers in the world. We are now the leading streaming media provider of the world, moving our business into over 130 new markets worldwide, reaching new international growth records. As CEO, I will drive change, identify the current opportunities and threats, and identify our current strengths and weaknesses, based on my prior evaluations throughout these last eight weeks. How will I specifically drive change? I will drive change through innovation based on new strategies and ideas.

The 2050 Summer Olympics are quickly approaching. Dan from Chicago has dreamed of making it to the Olympics since he was very young. Through his adolescent years, Dan struggled with obesity. He would try diets and workout plans but nothing would really work for him. Even though Dan is overweight, he still has the ability to run faster than all the other kids. All he wants to do in life is go to the Olympics. He believes that is his calling. When he tells people about his plans to become an Olympic athlete, often people say, "You 're way too big to be an Olympic sprinter," or "You don 't look like someone who would be in the Olympics." Dan starts to think to himself, "I might actually be too fat for this." Doubt creeps into his mind. He begins
Binge watching: “viewing multiple episodes of a television program in rapid succession”, is a phenomenon that television enthusiasts have embraced with the introduction of new technologies like SVOD, streaming video on demand, television consumption platforms unique to the digital age (“binge-watch,” def. 1). Services that offer SVOD such as Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime are even encouraging binge watching through their marketing practices and content creation (Greenberg). So why is binge watching, or rather binge viewing, an activity that people are participating in under the false assumption that it is a socially unacceptable guilty pleasure; an indulgence, just as eating an exorbitant amount of high-calorie foods is.

Throughout my life, I have always loved physical fitness and athletics. Unfortunately, due to a horrible knee injury at the end of my senior year of high school’s basketball season, my athletic lifestyle came to a screeching halt. Ever since I have gone through physical therapy and gotten back on my feet, I have had the desire to pursue a career in the field of health and fitness and my goal is to become a personal fitness trainer so I may help others reach their fitness goals and teach ways to be active safely and help prevent major injuries. I have always had a love and passion for health and fitness. I have become more sensitive to the importance of exercise and the related issues of nutrition and fitness for the avoidance of injury to the human body. Especially now that I

Automated doors slide open revealing a multitude of fitness machinery and flooding the air with the sound of weights clinking and the synchronized rhythmic stomping of twenty pairs of Nikes hitting the floor simultaneously in the step aerobics class; it’s time to get physical. On any given day, at any time, in gyms all across America the same scene is played out, (Guy). A handful of muscle bound jocks, serious about competitive weight lifting, can be seen spotting each other in the free weights area. Mirrors in the bathrooms, dressing rooms, and on the fitness center floor are consumed by pimped out prima donnas and jewelry adorned divas alike; preoccupied with primping and flexing their way to personal greatness/fitness. Normal, average, everyday people just trying to fit an hour or so workout into their busy schedule; they want to get in, get pumped, and go on with their day - these are the best types of gym dwellers.
Reed Hastings, co-founder of Netflix headquartered in Los Gatos, CA, began the company’s operations in 1997 after receiving an enormous late charge from a movie rental he returned long overdue. However, Hastings had the desire to be different than traditional movie outlets; whereas, customers had to drive to the location, pay a certain amount for each movie they rented, and were given a deadline in which to return the movie. Instead of using a method established by other video markets “to attract customers to a retail location, Netflix offered home delivery of DVDs through the mail” which eventually led to a booming business towards streaming forms of entertainment (Shih, Kaufman, & Spinola, 2009, p. 3). Today, Netflix exists along with several competitors; however, offers the most streaming content available for viewing, and continues to grow its subscriber base both domestically and globally. Although, direct and indirect competitors, acquisition costs, and several barriers present a financial threat for Netflix, the company has managed to grow with the acclamation of partnerships, expand to international territories, and vastly increase its price in shares of stock.
Streaming video content over the internet continues to grow in popularity with consumers for a variety of reasons, including the widespread availability of high speed internet, attractive video content, easy to use video streaming devices and the rising cost of cable television service. Some consumers use streaming video to enhance or supplement the typical offerings available from their local cable provider. Others take a more extreme approach and use streaming video as a means to eliminate the need for a cable television subscription altogether. Presently consumers cancelling their cable TV subscriptions are still considered a minority of all subscribers; nevertheless their steadily increasing numbers have earned the moniker of “cord cutters.” Those looking to ditch cable TV can also find a growing number of online resources that will ease their transition to cheaper online television viewing.
