Nelson Mandela, an esteemed civil rights activist and leader of South Africa, once said, "Difficulties break some men but make others. No axe is sharp enough to cut the soul of a sinner who keeps on trying, one armed with the hope that he will rise even in the end." This quote speaks to the importance of perseverance beyond rock bottom. It means that a man who has lost everything still has the world to gain if he remains resilient. When difficulties and complications sprout up in life, it is quite easy to feel inclined to concede or give up, but I agree with Mandela’s outtake of the subject, that if one continues to persevere, he will succeed in the end. If one gives up after the first try, he will not ever reach his goal, which in this case is the coconut milk, but if he keeps on trying, even though he might have failed the first time, eventually, he will be rewarded with the sweet milk. This situation exists in the real world as well. For instance, Mandela needed copious amounts of resources and men to launch his civil rights crusade, and, even though it was a crawling process at first, he was stubborn in his cause and gathered the materials and numbers he needed.
