Paper #3 One thing that I believe to be true is that vaping does not harm the human body in a negative way. Vaping is like many other things, if it is done right then it is a safe recreational activity, but if done wrong it can be a harmful activity with many negative effects. The reason that I believe this is due to the fact that there are two side of the spectrum when vaping is being considered. There is the side in which many people gravitate towards and then there is the side in which those who do their research gravitate towards. This is due to the lack of knowledge that many “Vapers” have. In vaping there are many different solutions used to create the smoke. If research is done on said formulas then it can be seen that some contain harmful chemicals while others contain only natural substances that do not affect the body in a negative way such as decline in health. This is due to the fact that the vaping substances in which only natural substances are found a liquid base of glycerin is used. When inhaled as a vapor this chemical is not harmful to the human In fact most bases used for vaping substances are not harmful. The danger is found in the chemicals which are used to give the liquid or substance its flavor. This is due to artificial flavors. Some companies have been known to put chemicals in their flavoring that do not belong. The chemicals in which we are discussing add no value to the enjoyment of vaping or to the flavor they are just add a negative effect on the user's health. One of these chemicals is lead. Lead has no recreational value when it comes to vaping. It does not add flavor. It does not add to the “high” that the nicotine gives the user. Lead, when added to a vaping substance, has no positive value. This is why research must be done on the chemicals that are in your vaping liquid. This is an easy fix that could save your life. Find a

There is a new trend hitting the market known as e-cigarettes, or “vaping.” Many people believe that e-cigarettes are better than traditional cigarettes, but research shows just how unhealthy and harmful e-cigarettes are for everyone. The FDA has not yet decided if e-cigarettes should be regulated as tobacco products. E-cigarettes are marketed to help people quit smoking and live a healthier, nonsmoking life. E-cigarettes are meant to help break the habit of smoking, but why are there so many “toxic chemicals” (gilger) in the vapor?
Have you ever wondered what happens when you inhale the liquid from a vape? Many people that vape think it's a better alternative than smoking and actual cigarette, or they think it's safer than cigarettes. Vaping actually has many dangers that come with it, like it can cause the body to become weaker in fighting infections, scar the lungs, or can blow up in your face. And though it might be way safer than real cigarettes, there are many things in those vapes that can cause health dangers in the body. Though it's still early in the vape life, many researches have been done to prove of these dangerous things that can cause harm to the inside and outside of the body.

The nicotine in the “nicotine, whatever its source, can harm lung tissue” and nicotine is an ingredient in most vapes. There are certain styles of vape juice that do not have nicotine, however, even those have proven harmful. Professor Charalambos Vlacholoulous of the University of Athens Medical School conducted a study with a group from the University to test the difference vaping has on the aorta compared to smoking. Both smoking and vaping stiffens the heart and this is bad because “if the aorta is stiff, you multiply your risk of dying either from heart disease or from other causes.”
Ever since earlier years, when cigarettes came into market, people have had the right to make the decision of whether or not they want to smoke. But for some people, this is not a choice. This creates the problem of second-hand smoke, which is more harmful than people think. Second hand smoke has been liable to increase the risk of lung cancer by three times. Cigarette smoke contains a deadly mixture of carbon monoxide, nicotine, and more than 4,000 other chemicals, many of which cause cancer and heart disease. The smoke that appears off the end of an idle burning cigarette is even more toxic than inhaled smoke because the tobacco is smouldering at a lower temperature and is therefore burning less efficiently. When you sit in a smoky room, office, restaurant or bar, you can't help breathing in some of these toxic gases, particles, and chemicals. Some of the tar stays in your lungs. Small amounts of nicotine and carbon monoxide pass into your bloodstream. After half an hour, your blood pressure and heartbeat rise measurably. This means that extra stress is being placed on your heart. ...
