Throughout history there have been a vast number of myths and legends. These legends feature fantastical beasts and creature, many of which are still remembered today. All though we have no way of proving or disproving these creatures existence. However, based on the stories that have been passed down through the ages, we can categorize them into three groups: naturally good, naturally evil, and naturally neutral. Mythical creatures that fall under the naturally good class are portrayed as kind beings. They preform selfless acts of kindness, and are ultimately pleasant companions. Among these creatures are: light faeries, certain nature sprites, and members of the Seelie Court. Despite their natural inclination to do good deeds, naturally good creatures often are more vengeful than even evil beings. For example, they will guide kind humans and small children home through the forest. On the other hand, many forest spirits that fall into the naturally good category have been entrap people in mystical mazes if they harm the forests inhabitants. …show more content…

Along with doing evil for selfish gains, they do evil for evils sake. Such beings include: the Unseelie Court, demons, and most hell or underworld beings. There are rare cases when an evil being changes its alignment, but they are few and far between. One such situation is the purification of evil spirits. They are creatures that feed on negative emotion however if they are purified they are severely weakened but can consume positive emotion and become good. This does however require the help of a priest or clergy member, so it is not done
