On February 11, 1847 Nancy Elliott and Samuel Edison had a son ,but not just any boy. They gave birth to Thomas Edison one of the best inventor and businessman this world has ever known. Thomas Edison was born in Milan, Ohio but grew up in Port Huron, Michigan until he was grown and moved from city to city. Him and his mother Nancy, father Samuel and his six other siblings all lived in the same house. He was the youngest out of all seven of his brothers and sisters. While growing up he developed bad hearing problems in his ears that led to him being nearly death as he got older. Even though he would have hearing problems he would still have a very successful life. When Thomas Edison was 7 him and his family moved to Port Huron, Michigan. There he attended in school for 12 weeks, but it was to hard for him due to his bad hearing. So his mom took him out of school and started homeschooling him. By 11 he showed a huge improvement becoming very smart and even developed a process of self educating and independent learning that would help him all throughout his life.

He died in his own house “Glenmont” in Llewellyn Park in West Orange, New Jersey. Thomas was buried behind his house. Ford convinced Thomas son, Charles Edison to seal a test tube of air from the inventors room shortly after the death of Thomas. It Thomas Edison's last breath and you can even go see it at The Ford Henry Museum. Thomas Edison died as a very successful inventor and businessman .He was and will always be one of the most respected men this world has known. Also one of the most famous or well known human this world has. Before Thomas Edison died he was rewarded with 8 medals ,2 awards and 1 prize. After his death he is still remembered, 2 colleges are named after him, 2 bridges are named, a Hotel, and even a few high schools. His name will mainly stay over the one who
