When I am asked why I am passionate about agriculture I often find it difficult to explain. Agriculture has been a significant part of my life as I grew up on a ranch. My experiences on the ranch are valuable because I had the opportunity to discover what agriculture was really about firsthand. I had the opportunity to learn about agriculture from the most important people in my life, my family and friends. I believe that my home roots play an important role in my passion to become more involved in the agriculture industry.
Growing up on a ranch where I could work alongside my family has meant a lot to me. The lessons learned and the memories we shared as a family are priceless. From being in FFA and 4-H, going to stock shows showing cattle,
The cattle drive really toughened me up. All of the experiences made me become a man, and I found out who I really am. I have proven to myself what I can truly accomplish.
Agriculture—it’s something that not very many people know much about. However, it is important for us to survive. Almost everything in our everyday lives is agriculture-related, from the food you eat to the clothes you wear.
Farming is an excellent way for one to learn responsibilities and develop a superior work ethic. For a person to become a farmer he or she would have to either own a plot of land or have access to land. For one to be a successful farmer he or she must be able to withstand what the farming life has to offer. If one were to become a dairy and beef cattle farmer he or she would be able to support his or her families with the products that are obtained from these creatures.
In Genesis 1:29, God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.” From the beginning God has given us food for life. Plants, meats, trees, and fruits are offered to us as a means of sustenance from the very same God who made them long ago.
They strive to produce the most nutritious foods, preserving the community, and keeping the environment in the most supreme pleasure. Family farming teaches the principals of responsibility, the values of being hard-working, dedicated, and leadership. Also, family farmers have developed many community, state, and nationwide organizations that promote agriculture and the importance of farming, such as FFA. With the decrease of family farming, farming will become “just another” industry rather than a well-respected, community connecting, passed down family business. Family farming is much more than producing for the nation, but an important part of American history and American culture that we, as Americans and agricultural enthusiasts, should strive to
So overall, Agriculture is playing a very important role in changing the lifestyle of different people. Agriculture might have made everything easy for us but it still has its cons. We see the effects of agriculture and how it affects the lives of other species and the environment.

The growth of the world’s population has led to a growth in animal agriculture, because as population grows, the need for food does as well. Animal agriculture is the use of animal farms to produce animal products that are then consumed by the general public. As agribusiness expands, issues such as the need for farm insurance and animal rights have received more awareness. Modern day industrialism is being applied to animal agriculture in developed nations such as the United States and Canada. Farm Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on research in agribusiness and improving the economy through agriculture, claims that “the North American livestock industry is expected to

The backbone of a stable nation, socially and politically, is agriculture. Agriculture is the largest sector that provides a nation with food and employment. Agriculture is currently being affected by climate change and at the same time it is also a contributor to climate change. The drastic elevations in climate change started from the mid to late 20th century and they have been increasing since then (Boisvenue & Running 2006). Climate change is affecting agriculture by interfering with the efficiency of crop production. Agriculture is facing droughts, flooding, sea level elevations, natural disasters, and health hazards for employees. All of these exponents lead to crop failure that creates famines and food prices to rise. On the other side, agriculture is also contributing to climate change through their output of greenhouse gas emissions and carbon footprints. These are caused by the activities that agriculture engages with such as breeding of livestock, ploughing of fields, deforestation, and the use of pesticides and other agrochemicals. Climate change affects countries differently, mainly due to their ability to adapt and their geographical location. Canada and Russia benefit from the changes in climate while Sudan and Bangladesh are affected negatively, struggling to adapt. Agriculture and climate change are interrelated processes that exist mutually making it harder to reduce one without affecting the other.
Home gardens offer a wide variety of benefits to the environment and serve a diverse group of people. Home gardening provides a source of fresh produce and free of chemicals, it also gives you complete control over the chemicals and products used during the growing process. A home garden allows you to pick the produce when its ripe, unlike produce at the store is often picked before its fully ripe. The quality and flavor of the freshly picked produce from home is better than the produce that might have unknown chemicals and was likely picked several days or weeks before being sold. The produce retains more nutrients when consumed shortly after being picked, making your home garden vegetables a healthier option. A garden also provides a positive environmental impact. The compost allows you to recycle certain kitchen and yard waste into a nutrient-rich additive for the garden. This provides natural fertilizer for you plants and reduces the wastes you produce. If you choose to avoid or limit chemical use, you reduce pollution from your gardening activities. Besides being good for the environment gardens have environmental gains for us. Gardening help control urban temperatures, If the environmental landscape design is effective it can cool your home in summer and warm it in winter, it can also reduce the energy cost by up to 20%.
