Lastly the third personal promise I was to be kinder to others, many people have bad days and being nice can put a smile on someone's face and make their day better than it was. I feel that these are important because I believe I need to change or fix those things about myself. Those are my personal

Amazingly, I retained the information better because the year involved practical work. I am grateful for the experience because I was introduced to skills applicable to my life. As I reflect on the years learning, I could not be more excited about what is to come next.
Joy Castro and W. E. B. DuBois use their autobiographical texts to discuss the obstacles that they have to overcome in order to receive a proper education, as well as consider the flaws present in the American education system. Both authors have similar struggles, as they are faced with hardships when attempting to pursue an education. However, W. E. B. DuBois’s essay On the Training of Black Men focuses mainly on the concept of race and how it connects with freed black men striving for an education. Christmas to me is a celebration, which includes spending time with my family, decorating the entire house, inside and out, and shopping, for the people I love. Doing this with the people I love is what means the most to me. Spending Christmas with my family is very important to me. We usually gather and celebrate at my parent’s house, in East Tennessee. Chinese New Year is the most widely celebrated tradition in Asia. The tradition is usually celebrated on the first day of the first month on the Chinese Lunar calendar. According to legend, it is said that red can drive away bad luck, which is why the color red is highly emphasized. I remember everything about my graduation day: my party, cake, dress, makeup, hair, cap and gown, and the gifts I got from family and friends.
