A major aspect of my identity is that I am artistic; this allows me to find purpose and better relate to the events and people which surround me. Creativity can help me solve problems and better understand the world around me. Being involved in the arts and having specific passions gives me a sense of belonging. It also helps me find community and confidence. Artistic talent run in my family and I think that growing up surrounded by creative people shaped this important aspect of my identity.
