Have you ever heard, “Home is where the heart is”? What if you could dream up and create a home? Home is a safe place, and it’s the place you go when you seek comfort. I’ve imagined my dream home and I know exactly what it will look like. I’ve always wanted a comfortable, spacious, and creative house that reminded me of my childhood dreams.
This house full of vibrant colors, new electronics and massive furniture will be so comfortable you’ll never want to leave. My future house will Have giant couches that will make you feel as if you were a baby cub lying next to your momma. When I’d sit on the couches I would slowly begin to melt. Even though the sofa will be really comfortable the beds will be even better, for example my king sized bed

If a person toured my house the first image walking in would be a big, beautiful, long brown hard wood floor balcony with drapes and chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. You would see a long stair case giving the image of some royal ball. There will be 9 different rooms in my dream house all of which are created for enjoyment. One of the rooms will be a movie room as big as the actual movie theater. It will have speakers to the side of the television rows of red chairs in front of the screen and an armrest between ever chair. There will even be a little 3D glasses booth in the back of the room. Another example of a large room will be the game room. It’s going to be so big it would contain dozens of games, a Play station, Wii, and a X box all in the latest edition. I will even have a bookcase of games organized by genre. The rooms will have long big windows to where you could see the beautiful gardens I’d have. The large gardens will have beautiful flowers of every color and fruits grown exceptionally fresh. You would also be able to see the garden from the kitchen which will have several different appliances to make it great. From the kitchen you can see out the huge back window my jet, my boat, my jet ski, and my hot tub. I will also have an indoor pool as well as a hot tub and a smoothie bar. The room with the indoor pool will have a button to move back the ceiling as if it were a car so that you can …show more content…
My house will remind me of when I was smaller and I made a clubhouse using me and my sisters bunk beds and a rocking chair and covers. I will have posters up in my house telling me the direction of each room. I will have a map in the front part of my house of the basic outline. I will also have a game invented every day to play with my friends as if I was 7 years old. I will have a pool on top of my house and it will have a button to heat it as if it were a hot tub. I will have refreshments up there along with a few chairs. I’ve already given some details about the game and theater room but there is much more to be added. For example, the game room will have board games and homemade games such as scavenger hunts and things to do when you are absolutely bored. As for the theatre room there will be a snack bar with nachos, popcorn, candy and pizza. These things all bring me back to when I had covers over the TV and I would imagine my house with a huge movie room. I would occasionally sneak in snacks and eat them as I would watch the TV which is why I decided on my snack bar. Every room will lead to a new adventure, and one game I know I will add is a game me and my sister made up. The game was based on a movie about a boy who had these glasses and he could see monsters. In the movie he also had a book identifying the different monsters. This will be a game I can teach my little brother and his
And with good reason! The sheer luxury of the property is overwhelming. The mansion has 34 beautifully decorated rooms that boast 15th through 19th century art and furnishings. While blending together harmoniously, there is nothing subtle about the elaborately carved furniture, voluminous drapes, ornate carvings, and the richly colored tiles. The intent is to convey the excesses of wealth, which it does, albeit with grace and elegance.
I’d never been in a house like this. It had rooms off of rooms, and in each of them were deep sofas and chairs, woven carpet over polished hard-wood floors, tasteful paintings on the walls. She asked if I was hungry, and she opened the fridge and it was stuffed with food-cold cuts and cheeses, fresh
Upon renovating the quaint little house on the hill with my mom, my own feelings toward the house changed dramatically. Before the project took off, I hesitated to step foot inside the building. The odor and dim lighting made it difficult to envision a successful result, but once we finished I was tempted to move in myself. This is the goal. Taking on this second project, I’d do my best to make the house one I’d love to live in while not allowing myself to implement my personal style preferences. The result is a home both move-in ready and open for visitors.
My home is my haven and the place that I feel the safest and most comfortable at. It is where many good memories and feelings arise and I am able to be myself with no false pretenses. It is my “Home Sweet Home” yet the stories “Young Goodman Brown,” by Nathaniel Hawthorne, and “Soldier’s Home,” by Ernest Hemingway show a different attitude about home going and the effects it has on the main characters.
“Home is where the heart is.” In The House on Mango Street, Sandra Cisneros develops this famous statement to depict what a “home” really represents. What is a home? Is it a house with four walls and a roof, the neighborhood of kids while growing up, or a unique Cleaver household where everything is perfect and no problems arise? According to Cisneros, we all have our own home with which we identify; however, we cannot always go back to the environment we once considered our dwelling place. The home, which is characterized by who we are, and determined by how we view ourselves, is what makes every individual unique. A home is a personality, a depiction of who we are inside and how we grow through our life experiences. In her personal, Cisneros depicts Esperanza Cordero’s coming-of-age through a series of vignettes about her family, neighborhood, and personalized dreams. Although the novel does not follow a traditional chronological pattern, a story emerges, nevertheless, of Esperanza’s search to discover the meaning of her life and her personal identity. The novel begins when the Cordero family moves into a new house, the first they have ever owned, on Mango Street in the Latino section of Chicago. Esperanza is disappointed by the “small and red” house “with tight steps in front and bricks crumbling in places” (5). It is not at all the dream-house her parents had always talked about, nor is it the house on a hill that Esperanza vows to one day own for herself. Despite its location in a rough neighborhood and difficult lifestyle, Mango Street is the place with which she identifies at this time in her life.
A person’s home is a good representation of himself or herself. The way one takes care of their home can tell a story about the owner of the home and its residence. The members of the home may also affect the situations that take place, creating good or bad circumstances. In a story, a character's home does just that. The more or less elaborate it is explained, the more detail is presented about how the character is or will be. In “The House of Usher” and “The Yellow Wallpaper”, the elaborate descriptions of the characters and their homes set the story and can predict the outcome. A writer’s home and view of life may have a profound impact on their idea of home and therefore their writing that is produced.
Imagine your first home. The place where you lived right after you were born. Where you took
These personifications and imagery brings the house to life as it makes you feel and see things much
Buying and owning your home is part of the American dream. Although the dream itself has since changed, the home still remains the main focal point. Today owning a home doesn’t necessarily mean a house. People now buy duplexes, cooperative apartments, and condominiums. For some families it could take up to a couple of generations before it’s able to have the capabilities of buying a home. To many people it means a certain achievement that only comes after years of hard work. It is a life altering decision and one of the most important someone can make in their lifetime. The reasons behind the actual purchase could vary. Before anything is done, people must understand that it’s an extraneous process and it is a long term project.
I remember reading one book about home, the author use a few examples to show what his ideal home was. The author used one multimillionaire as an example, one day the multimillionaire was found by a policeman near his house drunk. The police offer to drive him home, he replied: “Home? I don’t have a home.” When the policeman asks him about his house he said “That’s not my home, that’s just where I live.” According to the author most of multimillionaire’s family has died he lived along all by himself. The author also used another example of a man whose family got drafted apart by a civil war, after 20 years he finally found his daughter, the man instant burst with tears and said, “I’ve finally got a home again.” I believe that home means more than just a place for shelter and for family storage any more. A lot of people are still happy when they are living in cardboard boxes because they are living with the ones who they love and love them back. Without the love the house could not be comfortable at all. Statistics show that the leading cause of suicide among youth and teens are family violence. They often can’t find comfort in both home and school, and can’t find hopes in life.
If you ask anyone what home means to them more than likely you’ll get several different opinions. In my case home has never been a specific place it’s always been wherever my mom was! My Mother and I have been moving from place to place ever since I could remember.
“When it comes to interior design styles, give yourself the permission to think outside the box. There are so many wonderful ways to define who you are by creating a magnificent living space. Allow yourself to be creative. Be stylish. And when I say outside the box, I don’t necessarily mean go crazy, I simply suggest you take some steps to create the type of home that you really want or that your client is asking you to create” (Yule 1). Looking into interior design there are many elements that contribute to the way people view the room or area, such as the color, flooring, furniture, fabrics, and accessories in every room. Within the following research paper, interior design will be discussed by the interior design styles, the effects of color, and the trends of bathrooms.
As I look back on my childhood a great number of memories hide in my mind; sleepovers with friends, hanging upside down on the monkey bars, eating ice cream are but a few. The one memory that doesn't hide is of the postcard perfect house that I love and adore. From the hearty cattails and rose brown apple trees to the grilled cheese, this place reminds me of my childhood fun but also the love that my whole family shared. The red brick house and its surroundings will keep my memories forever.
“Home is where love resides, memories are created, friends always belong, and laughter never ends (Robot check).” A place becomes a home for me when I am around all the things that I enjoy and love. For example, when I am around everyone that I love, I enjoy a peaceful environment and the beautiful landscapes around me. The interpretation of home for me is not a physical thing that I see or that I can remember or even certain thoughts that I can relate, but it is a sensation that overcomes me when I envision being in the comfort of my own home. However, I know that this is a feeling that is calming to my soul and it quietly reassures me that I genuinely belong in a place where I can be free from people constantly judging me.
My house that I designed is all I imagined and more. It is a four story
