Muhammad Biography

The last Prophet and founder of Islam, Muhammad, was one of the most influential leaders that ever lived. When, his mother was sixth months pregnant on him, Abdullah, his father passed away in a caravan trip between Medina and Mecca to illness. Amina, his mother hated him because she accused Muhammad of bringing bad luck which caused his father’s dead. Once he was born she would gave him to a Bedouin woman named Haleema. As the Arabian tradition, Haleema took Muhammad with her to live in the desert because it was considered healthier for infants. However, after couple of years she would return Muhammad back to his mother Amina; when Muhammad turned sixth she also passed away because of illness. It was then when he became an orphan, but then he was brought up for two years under the guardianship of his grandfather Abdul Muttalib.

At age of eight his grandfather also passed away; then he lived with his uncle Abu Talib, the leader of a clan called Bani Hashim. Around this time his clan was running out of their fortunes so, Muhammad spends most of his time without eating. Although, everything that was happening in his life he still managed to accompany his uncle on trading journeys to Syria gaining experience in the commercial trade, the only career open to Muhammad as an orphan. However, later he became a merchant and was involved in trading between the Indian Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. Due to his upright character he acquired the nickname al-Amin (faithful and trustworthy). Even though he was illiterate, people sought him as wise man and asked him for advice. ... there. Emerging as a legend from ordinary background is not easy, but those who follow the right way can easy get there. He is a legend for many reasons; one of which is that millions of people takes his name every minute although he passed away over many centuries ago. Muhammad is the supreme example of a family man, loving husband, an affectionate father and doting grandfather. He also was a perfect example of an ordinary person that emerged to a legend over period of time and struggle.
